Bringing my son to his first Astros game tomorrow. Do you have to purchase the tour pass to get autographs after/during BP or just arrive early?

Turned on the game tonight and Bregman is on "paternity leave"

Why did you put paternity leave in quotes?

No special reason, just never seen that before. Worked in machine shops, foundries, refineries, shipyards, and never heard of any guy missing work for "maternity leave". Guys missed a day or 2, took their vacation time, when they had a baby

I haven’t been to a game in a few years, but just getting there early is all that used to be required.

The Astros take BP prior to the gates being opened. You can catch most of the opposing team's BP and get a few autographs.

As far as the Astros, I think they mostly do autographs in shifts, so that they don't all get bombarded every game.

Meaning that they designate certain players and rotate.

The biggest thing now, are the nets going all the way down the foul lines. They have these little cut out places, and certain spots where you can stick your hands through, and that seems to be where the players go to sign things for fans. Best bet is to get there as early as you can, and get to one of those cut out spots, as close to the 1B dugout as possible. That’s if you don’t have the BP passes of course.

You, and the other 2 pussies should get together. The guy asked about getting autographs for his kid, and I was just letting him know Bregman may not be there. You get your panties in a bunch because I repeated what they said during the game.

Tour pass is your best bet for Astros autographs. Congrats on his first game. Hope yall have a blast

IIRC, the aisle between sections 110 & 111 is where I usually see kids piling up to hound the visiting players coming back from bp.
