Whatever. Astros dominated MLB in 2022 and choked out the competition in the playoffs with arguably the best team this century. Dodgers and Braves know they got lucky they didn't have to play the Champs.

How many times do people have to tell you these things before some of you STFU?
I mean, you didn’t post anything to refute the fact that the Astros cheated.

Astros cheating was a result of the MLB not cleaning house sooner before a cheating team won the WS.

I’ve never tried to. My point has always been that multiple teams were doing the same thing and the Astros became the scapegoat for MLB in an effort to protect teams like the Yankees and the Red Sox. That isn’t any more fair than what the Astros did.

Just once I'd like to hear an Astros fan say, hey, the Astros are my team but what they did was wrong.
I find this comment extremely disingenuous and simplistic.
Most Astros fans on this board have all said what they did was wrong - many of them on more than one occasion. In my humble opinion, anyone that doesn't acknowledge that either purposefully ignores it or possibly has something else preventing them from understanding it.
ETA: Dear Chicken Overlords, I did my best to make my comments non-personal in nature while still delivering my message about the nature of the content of a poster's comments. I won't attempt a debate with you that an attack on morality is no less of a personal attack than an attack on intelligence. Alas, your message is clear, feathers were ruffled, panties were wadded. Tone it down, I shall.

I didn't say recently. After 3 years of nonsense, we're all pretty tired of it.
ETA: and yes, most of us also add that we believe the Astros were not the only team cheating.

All teams cheat. Some are just better at covering it up and not getting caught.

Your loser arse can't go one day without crying about the Astros

its not like teams werent making comments here and there after 2017 and into 2018 and 19. it also was a pretty common and open rumor during the time as well. im pretty sure even i made a post about it here and there during that time. it just takes a fiers for something to acutally happen
catchers were increasingly paranoid about their signs all over the league at that point. It wasn't just in minute maid.

Do you think it's morally acceptable to cheat?
I know that cheating has been an integral part of baseball since its inception.
I know that from fixing games to lying about age to seem younger to greenies to stealing signs to spidertack to steroids, everyone is looking for an edge.
Hell, as a LHP, I was taught to push that limit on pickoffs to first base. If I was not called for balks during the season, I wasn't trying hard enough.

Answer me this. Is all cheating wrong? Is some cheating more wrong than others? Do we have different levels of morality?

As a base runner, I hated you.

In high school, neither umpire is in a position to accurately make that call. I’ve seen dudes in high school step almost directly toward the plate and still throw over. Crickets from the umps.

I hate the Astros. That said, if I was an Astros fan, I wouldn’t give 2 shits about the cheating scandal. You’ve witnessed two titles in 6 years. frick everyone else. As a non-Astros fan, I will still call y’all cheaters, but I have no idea why any Houston fan would give my comments (or anybody else’s) the time of day.

Balk is so poorly officiated that gaming the rule should be encouraged by coaches.

Why is stealing signs even considered cheating? I don’t get it.

I read an article or book, can’t remember which, where a professional umpire said he never called a ball because he didn’t really fully understand the rule
