I still don’t know what you’re talking about when you say Spieth cheated

British Open when he blasted it way out of bounds and he got a ruling to move the ball... He moved it back so far that he was able to clear a house or whatever that was. Because he kept not going closer to the pin and it made his angle easier to the green as well.

He did not technically cheat but he used the rule to his advantage.

in golf they do. often.

ball is headed out of bounds, hits famous tree, bounces back, into fairway.
we saw that in major last year.

eagle shot hits stick
a. drops into cup. dude wins
b. glances off 13 feet. one shot later dude has side hill lie and guesses wrong.

so many side hill lie shots curving a long long way before dropping in.

westwoods shot lands in sand divot.

The answer was "I didn't see it," not "no"

As he neared the ball, Reed asked volunteers if the ball had bounced. They said they had not seen the ball bounce Reed’s playing partners, Robby Shelton and Will Gordon, also said they had not seen the ball bounce.

Nor did the three caddies in the group. Patrick Reed alerted his playing partners that he was going to check if the ball was embedded. He picked up the ball, put his finger into a hole in the ground, and decided the ball was embedded. Then he called for a rules official to make sure the ball had been embedded and the official, Brad Fabel, declared it was.

Reed was allowed to take a free drop due to the embedded ball and made par.

Hes still employed by the tour, what's he going to do throw his colleague under the bus on national TV?

Hell yes, if he's wrong. You are there to get it right, regardless. He may be collecting his check from CBS but he got it right, according to the PGA officials. Unlike Jim Nantz and his henchmen.

They actually call him "Captain America."

Nothing had changed from Thursday am until Thursday pm other than those 3 and specifically Rory being out of contention.

They took two teams playing in the Big East Tournament off the court and cancelled the rest of the game. The Big Ten basketball tournament and many others were cancelled during that day, as well.

Things might not have changed in golf, but things were changing a mile a minute in the rest of the sports world.

I don't believe that tournament was being completed either way. There would have been too much peer pressure.

There was a PGA that Woods ended up winning where he hit a ball into a bush that had people around it

1...2...3...and the ball popped out

It was obvious and the announcers said nothing
