OP is acting like Yankees should win it every year and that 1996 to 2000 is the norm

Yankees should have at least 2 more titles but they blew it

Not really, MLB doesn’t cheat for the Yankees anymore because they are in New York. MLB isn’t dependent upon New York being successful anymore.

It could also be argued that the Braves blew it in 96 and/or the Yankees should not have been there to begin with

It's more surprising the Lakers haven't won since 2010.

Terrible leadership.

They really failed on preparing for the Kobe transition.

2012 Lakers had Kobe, Steve Nash, Pau Gasol, Ron Artest and Dwight Howard.

And they finished 3rd in their own division...and lost to the Spurs 0-4 in the 1st round.

Wasn't that when they got fricked over by David Stern?

Possibly, it was 2-1 Braves prior to the Leyritz home run. However, all that did was tie the game, the Braves still had a chance to win and then win after that.

hes thinking of 2013. 2012 was the year they got fricked by the league, but that team with nash and howard was the 2013 team

The Yankees should have won in 2002, 2004, and 2011.

Logically, they should have had 30ish championships by now.

Nah, Braves still had a chance to win it, even after the Leyritz home run.

I never said anything about the Leyritz HR

The Braves up 2-0 and going home and lost. If Yankee fans are going to play the we should have won xyz other World Series, well there’s always others teams that could say the same.
