I’m aware of that, and Lamar is 2-4 in the playoffs. Lamar and Jayden are pretty similar as a QB, but IMO I'll take Jayden over Lamar. I think Jayden has the IT when it comes to winning big games, and as of now Lamar has the IT to win individual awards. I don’t see what’s so controversial about that opinion.

He’s 3-4 against teams with at least a .500 record. This is exactly what I’m talking about

His defense gave up 26, 28, 30, and 37 in those losses.

Try again.

And like you said he hasn’t even finished his first regular season, much less played in his first playoff game.

He had 3 passing tds in the Bucs, Steelers, Ravens game combined. He was good against the falcons.

He said he had IT to win the big games. Against the good teams, they don’t win that much. He can’t have IT to win… and not win. It’s incongruent

Since when do passing tds tell the whole tale?

He had 272 all purpose yds with 2 tds in his first game as a pro against the bucs on the road

Played well against the ravens but his defense gave up 484 yds of offense.

He played bad against the steelers but still led his team to scoring 27 pts.

Just another disingenuous argument from you.

Simple question- can you have IT to win big games, if you do not in fact win those games?

You can say he played well in losses and that may be true, but that isn’t what the argument was

He's won some and lost some. Considering the learning curve of being a rookie qb and winning the last two games the way that he has its a far easier argument to say he does have an IT factor.

The last 2 weeks were big games and Philly is one of the best teams in the league, ATL .500 but were/are in playoff contention.

Quibbling with the exact words of some posters is pretty stupid. Daniels is having a great season, especially for a rookie. he has helped turn around a struggling franchise (please note not saying he’s singularly responsible, coaching and scheme matters, but the coaches aren’t here with a lot of other QBs either it takes both) . He was the 2nd pick in the draft for a reason, it is not unreasonable to expect him to become one of the top QBs in the league in coming years especially after a rookie year like this.

Playing a rookie in his second start in the worst division in football

I don’t know, I think people should say what they mean, and not dumb shite. But that’s just me

Anthony Richardson was the 4th pick in the draft. Miss me with that

Very possible. But my original premise at the beginning of this thread remains. Many posters are ready to anoint JD as a top qb and will tell you Stroud sucks and was never good

except for the tiny little fact that the Texans were significantly more talented last year than the Commanders are this year.

The Texans won 10 games the 3 years prior to 2023. Washington was 4-13 last year but won 7,7 and 8 the 3 years before that. The Texans GM has done a pretty good job drafting Stingley and Anderson are 3rd and 2nd year guys at key defensive positions. Collins was a steal in the 3rd
