They’re definitely improved, but to give all the credit to JD isn’t true

Who should we credit for their improvement if not JD?

You have 5 seasons before you have to pay them

Quinn / new culture and JD

Jd is "good" and my thread title is admittedly a little trolly.

But his pocket presence is below average.

For the offense? Kingsbury.

The same posters that are ready to anoint him as elite will tell you Stroud sucks.

I hope he’s good, but there’s certainly no reason to crown him yet if you aren’t being biased

I don't think there are many this extreme. Stroud is still TBD. I haven't given up on him, but he had some really bad misses this year. I know a guy connected with NFL scouting who claims Daniels is the best pocket passer prospect of the past 10 years. I'm sure many would disagree, but it was a non LSU bias take. It would be nice to see him get a legit 2nd WR.

Sounded like someone may have criticized Daniels for starting slow. I would rather my QB play his best when it matters most in the 2nd half than the 1st.

4 year contracts with a 5th year team option. In practice you have to pay the franchise qb after year 3. Even Daniel Jones got the contract after year 4 and there was that whole saga about declining his 5th year option

He’s played Les than a season and based on where they drafted he’s n a worse team than the bengals, but he had more wins than Burrow. So ya he’s pretty good

He runs such an efficient offense in the 2nd half of games.

As of right now he has 1 win against a team above .500 (Eagles last week with Kenny Pickett)

Such a random stat that people like all of a sudden. Arizona used to count for this but now they don’t. Does Cincy count if they win next week?

They lost by 1 to Pittsburgh and by 7 to Baltimore, in a game where they had 52 yards rushing. Daniels was fine, but his struggles have been when they cannot run the ball.

No you don’t. You pay him early if you choose to and most of the top QBs do get paid early, but they’re the top QBs so it makes sense to lock them up and space out the cap hits, if necessary.

Because Daniel Jones sucks and nobody thought his contract was a good decision.

I hate this stat. 11 teams have between 6 and 9 wins.

I also hate the within one score or single digit win/loss stat. 50-60% of games are decided by a score or less

Every starter gets paid early. You have to be fricking terrible to not get a second contract. Like Paxton Lynch, Drew Lock bad. Dak just got paid… again and he’s as mid as mid gets

Dak, Cousins, Lawrence, Tua, Kyler, Carr all make almost $40 million or more

What you Jayden haters fail to realize is that Jayden is doing this all with scary terry and the over the hill gang and what was regarded as one of the poorest lines in the league. Wait til he gets another WR and a more dynamic back. It’s game over.

Lots of hot takes by a bunch of band nerds in here. Ask nearly every NFL team if they'd take JD.
