Breathing on a wideout is a penalty.
You used to have to be tough and fearless to play wide receiver at a high level. Now you just have to be fast and/or tall. Courage and toughness are completely unnecessary.

Meh.
They've been around a while and some conferences were slower to adapt than others and officiating still hasn't caught up.
Its bad enough when the rule book tilts in favor of the offenses but even worse when the officials do the same.
Made my favorite sport boarder line unwatchable.

Defensive backs are penalized for playing tough pass defense.
NFL has the problem. It’s caused a huge artificial inflation of passing stats.

People now a days want to see game scores like 56-63 instead of the old defensive domination 10-7 games. They want offensive fireworks.
