Stop lying.

7-0 Kentucky would have wins over #8 Florida, @Miss State, @South Carolina, and @ #3 Georgia.

They’d be ranked in the top 3.

Is it facts?

Did Mississippi State have any trouble being appropriately ranked in 2014?

Why is Nebraska at 24 too high?

Last year in the final poll, we had a 9-4 Oregon team finish at 24 and an 8-5 Auburn team finish at 19

If Nebraska finishes 8-5 they will be right on the cusp or in the top 25, as they probably should be

I honestly don't get why they are being hyped so much this year

Martinez turned the corner last year and The Corn was much better at the end of the year.

They also lost a few really close games early last year.

But Martinez is a stud and I expect Nebraska to finish in the Top 20.

The point remains the same as Alabama could play Florida A&M 7 times in a row and still be the unquestioned 1 or 2

What’s the problem there?

First, 7-0 Kentucky would 100% jump Alabama in this absolutely absurd hypothetical.

Second, where would you have Alabama ranked?

Because Martinez is legit and Scott Frost is a damn good coach. They will be improved, but not sure they end up in the top 15 at the end of the year.

I'd agree up til the time Scott Frost got there. Would not be surprised to see Nebraska knock off some big name teams this year.

Frost is a helluva ball coach. Nebraska will soon be a top-10 program.

When do the playoff rankings come out?

Where do you think an undefeated Kentucky would debut in those rankings?

Frost is a great coach but there are some strong headwinds recruiting to Lincoln.

The huskers don't have the advantages they had in the big 8. They didn't really take advantage of Texas recruiting exposure while in the big 12.

I don’t know what poll you’re looking at, but both Auburn & Oregon fell out of the polls in October last year, and remained unranked for the rest of the season.

There are usually a bunch of P5 teams that finish the season with 8 or 9 wins. Most of them also finish unranked because they don’t have any wins against ranked teams and/or have several losses against average teams.

Auburn plays a actual schedule. Which means we dont have one hard game every year to make us go 11-1 like some of the BIG teams

Week 9

If Kentucky is undefeated by week 9 they’d be 8-0 with wins over Florida, Miss State, Georgia, and South Carolina.

They’d probably be in the top 8
Of course that’s barring any other crazy upsets
Last year at 7-1 they were ranked 9th.
Bama, Clemson, OU, LSU and Ohio State should be undefeated and above them at that time

Missouri can't be in one poll, because of being on secret probation. But only a few votes from being #25 there.

Media buying into the 8-0 till they meet Georgia, with bryant bullshite. As are the Shill MU fans.

I say good luck with that noise.

So 7-1 Kentucky was 9th in the first playoff poll but people in here are arguing they’d be outside the top 10 this year with wins over Florida and @ Georgia.

Hmm.

Not if Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson, Washington, Michigan and Notre Dame are all 7-0.

Forgot to add LSU.
