If you watch his interview from yesterday you can tell he is lying. He starts blinking and lawyer talking when she asks if anybody in the NFL had seen the tape. "No". She then re-asks the question, "Nobody in the NFL?" and he gets nervous and comes back with "No one in the NFL, to my knowledge, and I have asked that same question, and the answer to that is no. We were not granted that."

It's just condescending.

I haven't been watching ESPN and the news so I might be ignorant but not an idiot.

The bottom line is this is a circus created by media and the PC machine.

They always get it wrong, every case they convict first destroying lives and then get the facts later...

And for once, I would like someone go off and tell the PC world to stick their opinion back up their arse!

Any dermatologists watch the interview? On my screen his face was really red. Like unhealthy red.

He was so lying like a mofo. It was completely obvious. I was watching with my SO and she was like, that dude if fricking lying like his arse off. (Note to self: don't blink incessantly and look down when telling my wife I was not at the skrip club).

Goodell is about to blow an aorta. That explains the redness.

Roger goodell is part of that machine and has infected the NFL irreparably. I don't know that we can have an NFL where all of this PC bullshite isn't prevalent. The NFL isn't about football anymore

And he's getting his arse nailed because he is lying and we all know it. He could survive that video easily but he then he lied, he's a fricking dope

And yes I'm butthurt, but it goes way beyond bountygate. He's made the NFL a PR circus, watered down the product and destroyed something I happen to like more than I care to admit

This is EXACTLY how I feel.

Outside of family, friends, job, etc., NFL football has been the most important thing in my life, my entire life. From my Saints pajamas to my bedspread to my curtains to the NFL Icee cups in the 70s until today.

And right now, if you gave me the choice between keeping Goodell as commissioner or having the league implode and disappear over concussion litigation, I'd choose the latter. And that's a fact.

His mantra is "protecting the shield." He has really done some damage to the shield by losing all credibility with the public. He may have "capital" built up with the owners, but that will change quickly if the public loses all confidence in his credibility, which right now, is pure shite. Frick that arrogant douche.

Roger Goodell isn't stepping down. He's not getting fired. He's not going anywheres. This thread is so stupid.

I don't really understand this line of thinking. When was the last time a major figure survived this kind of negative publicity? CEOs and political figures have succumb to much less than what Goodell is facing.

I hear Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Michael Moore set this up. It's part of the Hollywood Liberal Conspiracy, along with vaccinations and Common Core!

Not only that, this story isn't going away, if he could've let this die down and said "my bad" this shite would be forgotten next week

But now the interest is sky high and the sports media smells blood

My opinion as a biased and somewhat educated Saints fan. The new CBA gave him the power to hand out whatever punishment he sees fit for anything not specifically covered in the CBA. He does not have to provide reasoning or evidence for his rulings. He completely botched the RR case either by not doing more to get the video inside the elevator, or seeing the video inside the elevator and giving RR a two game suspension. His credibility is shot either way and he can not be trusted to rule on future cases. For every future incident where he has to hand out punishment, his credibility will be questioned. The NFL can not have this, and for that reason he will be relieved of his duties.

Because common sense tells me it's stupid for the commissioner to lose his 40 million dollar job over one punch he didn't throw. It's a great job.

If Ray Rice isn't being charged for battery but has been terminated from football at this time is there anymore to fuss about?

"Yes, because we want Roger fired because we know he is lying"

I think I care because I hate it when someone gets dragged into someone else crap... It's just not right

In the end Roger's punishment is 10x more...and again, he tossed ZERO punches..

Does that seem correct to you?
