I never really liked him at the time, but he was a couple years older then me and it seemed crazy he was in nba so close to my age.
Loved his attitude and drive, plus how he got his shite together, realized his mistakes and committed himself to improving and being a pro. Recommitment to wife and eventually family.
Was at NBA game yesterday, which rare. Found out waiting in line to get in. It was surreal as strangers were sharing what they knew as news poured in. Just crazy and surprising how much this effected me

Why is everyone on Earth "paying their respects" to Kobe? He dribbled a ball through a hoop for a living lets not act like he was some hero or God, not to mention he admitted to raping a woman and he should have gotten life in prison. People overlook this fact because he was a good basketball player, now everyone from singers to politicians to actors are talking about Kobe like he was some God on Earth worshipping the ground he walked on, come on people get real.

He cheated on his wife. He didn’t rape anybody. There’s a big difference. Yeah, he isn’t a saint, but who of us is? He didn’t do anything that MJ didn’t do.

If he actually did do that, wouldn’t he be in prison?

His daughter, and her teammate, are what really got me.

Kobe was a person on tv for me. I am not going to pretend to be hurting like a family member or friend

I think that's part of it, and I do find celebrity worship incredibly annoying.
IMO what separated Kobe was how he recallibrated his life after his mistakes and has been so involved with his kids and family. If I had his resources, that what i hope I'd be doing. He wasn't on that copter going to Vegas to bang strippers, it was his kids teams.

I'm sorry Kobe died in this tragedy; I'm sorry his daughter and the other people died along with him; I'm sorry the people died in the plane crash in Lafayette just before the Peach Bowl; I'm sorry the people died in the light plane crash in Addison last year, but no, I do not feel any personal loss in any of these cases.

Just saw this article from Fox News about Vanessa and clicked on her Instagram linked in the article. Hit more than the original news about the crash seeing the pics/video on her IG of Kobe being a dad and talking basketball courtside with Gianna or coaching her
