Only 4x mvp in NFL history.

I am just glad he is playing because he is one of the Top 5 QB's ever....
During my life I've seen Montanna,Young, Marino, Elway, Favre, Manning, Brady, and Brees.... and a lot of other great QB's which is pretty awesome

5x after this season! (probably not, but a man can dream...he should at least get the comeback player of the year award, the only award you never want to win twice).

I like his playing style and his comedic shops aren't bad for a pro athlete.

Technically, he's the best. Between the ears, no.
lolwut? maybe he's not the best but I have never seen anybody make the pre-snap adjustments that Peyton makes, and it works out perfectly almost every time. I don't see where you're coming from, but maybe i misunderstood what you were going for...

I think Peyton is the greatest football player to ever grace a football field. Is there anyone else on this board that shares this opinion?
I am a huge fan and I agree 100% with your opinion. Brady may have more rings, but IMO, PM is the greatest QB and football player ever to play. He's got it all. Put him on the Pats and he would have at least as many rings as Brady and probably more. Oh, and he's all class.

On this very thread, someone basically called Eli a game manager. That is under rating him.

I want to see him do well so he can stick it up Irsay's arse. Peyton devoted his life to Indy, and when times got tough, Irsay turned his back on him.

geesh dude....does he give you a woody when you think of his awesomeness?

Peyton has been my favorite player since his first season at Tennessee.

Warren Moon > Joe Montana

The number of championships is overrated. Still a zero next to your name is difficult to get past.
What I respect the most about Marino is when his time passed he retired. He thought about Minnesota, but the idea of winning a title with someone other than Miami was too painful. I respect that a lot.

Yeah, Peyton is awesome. I was so sad when he was released. He definitely is in running for the best QB ever. I say yes, but there is no clear cut answer.
To answer other things in this thread, Eli is a tier 2 QB. He is somewhere between 5-8 with Romo, Rivers, and Big Ben. Stafford will probably be in this group shortly.
Brees is clearly a tier 1 QB who is currently roughly as good as Rodgers and Brady (this is coming from someone who does not like the Saints or is from Louisiana). I think you can make a fair argument for any of them being the best. Of course, Brees will have as lenghty accolades as Tom and Peyton, but they all have damn impressive peaks.
