No, that "reason" didn't fly up here. Guess it will all blow over, maybe if the LHSAA would explain exactly what happened it would help (with the not helping the investigation), but maybe not.
Bastrop said they did all that was asked on them in a timely manner. LHSAA obviously disagrees.

The LHSAA took a championship away from Bastrop, and was going to not let many players play the nest year if the Gov. had not step in and talked with the cigar smoking thief that ran the LHSAA at the time. He was really looking out for the students, several would not have received scholarships if he would have had his way..
so I can understand how Bastrop feels..

Well I'm finished with the subject.

The same people that criticize me asking this probably wonder why some young blacks grow up with negative feelings towards whites. Yet, they dont see obvious contradictions and lame attempts to cover them up. But I am the racist.

You grow up with negative feelings towards whites because you always fricking need someone to blame. Nothing is ever your fault.

Call up the LHSAA and cry them a fricking river.

No, I don't wonder that at all. It's because they constantly have people telling them the white man is keeping them down when in reality the white man does everything he can for black people so he doesn't appear racist.

Like in this case, turning an issue of brawling during a football game into some sort of race based garbage. You're insinuating the LHSAA sat around in a board meeting and said "look you guys, we have to keep Bastrop out of the playoffs because they're a predominantly black team". You act like there aren't any black kids on Parkview's football team.

Nothing to do with race. Everything to do with the locations of the schools. Baton Rouge schools got pass. Monroe area teams did not.

Why is it that racism is such a convenient excuse for people. The difference (if anyone did 30 seconds of research, they would know this), is that Parkview and Baker provided names of individuals involved in the fracas and those players were punished individually, by being suspended from playing the following week. The LHSAA said that Bastrop and Carroll steadfastly refused to name names, so they voted to punish the entire school. As noted Parkview is far from lilly white and Baker is as minority majority as it comes. Try to do a little homework instead of throwing the race card immediately.

I understand that, but wouldn't the fair thing be for Bastrop and Carrol to have forfeited their next game rather than to keep them out of the playoffs altogether? I'm certainly not claiming racism, I just hate to see that taken away from the kids--especially Seniors--who had nothing to do with what happened. Just rubs me the wrong way.

Jeff dad umm it may have been because neither of the schools up there turned in any player , coaches or fans that may have been involve. The lhsaa ask all four schools to do so. The two down here did and those didnt. So who is to blame here? I say the dumb asses running those programs and their school leaders. So maybe you need to look their way! Unless of course it was a ghost fight and no one was involed.

Unfortunately I was born and raised in this crap town for 10 years, most of my family still lives there! The fact that their fan base is using the race card is typical...bunch of bafoons over there! That's just the attitude there, blame everyone else and NEVER take responsibility....since the mill closed, that place is a cesspool of thugs and meth!!
