They have scored the most runs in MLB this season by a wide margin and still have a -15 run differential

How is Vegas not putting their OU at like 14?

It’s only 7.5 today

LSU baseball had to be obliterating the under down the stretch. Seemed like they lost every game 14-10 or something.

The public hasn't caught on yet.

7.5 is bringing in the same amount for over and under.

For a team I wasn’t sure would even eclipse 49 wins this season, it’s been a shite ton of fun with all these runs scored. The young management /front office they brought in are big into analytics and it’s apparently made a huge difference. They have the players doing homework

quote:

It’s here, in the alcoves beneath MLB stadiums, where the Washington Nationals converge for a revised version of hitters’ meetings that players say have powered one of baseball’s top offenses. It’s here that they stare up at a screen with more metrics and a clearer message than they ever had before. And it’s here that the position players gather around three new hitting coaches, pull out their homework and wonder why they hadn’t prepared this way until now.

LINK

Still a shitty ownership situation though. The Lerners are basically the real life version of the kids from succession. So much infighting and then decide to be cheap as frick. Hope they sell soon. If they had actually spent money on some pitching, they’d be comfortably in a wild card position right now. Trading Gore away for example.., it’s not often you trade the rebuild pieces you got from a rebuild trade re Soto

But I guess it can be argued that the impending strike is going to frick up shite anyway and probably cost some players a season. Hopefully new ownership comes in and commits to really building a winner after the strike. Just feels like we’ve been the marlins since the World Series win.

I’m a Nats fan but dont bet on baseball. After looking at the past few weeks, maybe I should.

I love that this thread is made and, immediately, the Nats lose 2-1
