Shark was good. Hopefully can get to double digit wins for first time this year.

Castro Stats vs. similars

Hopefully Castro can keep it up. This is a pretty good comparison for him vs. similar players

Rogers Hornsby and Arky Vaughan as two of the comps. I can get on board with that.

Cubs broadcast are owned by two groups...wgn and csn. WGN contract runs after 2014 and lot of speculation that the cubs try to get their own network. so WGN couldn't gurantee hsi contract past 2014 so if he signed the contract he could in theory be stuck only working for CSN doing half the games. He saw a more stable opportunity in arizona (and his obvious ties to the team) and took it.

I didn't particularly like him that much but it's kind of one of those things you get used to... Then begin to defend them. A'la Jim

ETA thanks piggi

I liked Brenly, but Deshaies is good too. He probably won't be as outspoken as Bob was, but he'll be good enough.

I really don't like that Sveum pulled Shark here. I don't know what his pitch count was, but if he got pulled for any reason other than that, I don't like it. There's almost zero chance Marmol gets through the 9th in order.

Over. Gotta love having a closer that isn't allowed to shake off the catcher.

fricking Marmol. I would rather face him with a suit of armor than a baseball bat.

I wish we got Dan Haren.
