I mean front lines in basketball are smaller so earlier when he made this same dumb statement and I pointed that out he just deflected to some irrelevant nonsense. Then he comes back and says it again lol. As far as his “future is always better simply because it’s future” argument, the post MJ era of the early 2000s was much worse than previous eras. This is something he and others point out incessantly but how could that be since it was the future to those eras? These arguments are so weak because guys like him only have a couple of surface level talking points that fall apart under the slightest of scrutiny.

I won’t disagree with athletes today being better as I’ve already said, but for you to dismiss what’s teams and players have done in the past is just stupid. But look who I am talking to.

Sampras could absolutely still play pro tennis today, just like cannon could play pro football today. Neither would be the best like they were in their era
