According to that link, which pick has the best chance to become a “star”?

A melt is gonna occur this week, and this summer one way or another

#3.
But #1 has most potential all around

Right now, it's a year and a half out.
Ingram can demand the early max this offseason
Ball isn't coming here. i think we all agree on that. his dad will force us to deal him for less than the lakers could get for him
i'm not as down on Kuzma as many people on here are, but he's a 6th man on a playoff team, maybe worse in the west
and zubac is the most intriguing guy but he's kind of a one year wonder and we would have 1 year to evaluate what kind of guy he actually is. HUGE risk
ingram and kuz being very redundant also doesn't help, honestly. it's likely we couldn't justify both, so kuz would get the ball treatment
i don't think the "4, 1sts" is a real option so let's say 2, 1sts
the Pels end up with 4 late 1sts (2 from LAL, 1 from kuz, 1 from ball) and zubac/ingram making about $55-60M combined (about half the cap)
i just don't see the appeal for a rebuilding team. we will be stuck in the late lottery and at best will stash a bunch of euros

Even if it was FOUR firsts. You would argue against it for some reason
If you truly are fixated on rebuilding than that offer is a no brainer

What do you expect to happen with this whole ordeal?

no i'd be down for that, b/c it would include, likely, 2 1sts in the post-Lebron era when the Lakers likely suck
we'd just have to deal Ball and hope to deal Kuz, unless somebody wants Ingram for a bounty (which they don't b/c he's not a prime asset)

no clue b/c if he's not dealt by the deadline, things get real. i would be surprised if a deal is done prior to the lottery. that's when it really starts

Well then the Knicks’ pick just got significantly more valuable. There’s a real solid chance that the Pels can trade for an all around player and/or a star with one of the first three picks. Doesn’t necessarily have to be #1.
And, beyond that, said pick will be cost controlled and on a rookie deal for longer than Ingram and/or Ball currently are.
Data.

Rebuilding is an option if we get Zion. But you don’t go full Sixers with Tatum and Jrue.

Ya getting Zion is about the only thing that can save the pels (just low odds of happening)
Getting four Lal firsts is next best option. Hard for me to fathom turning that offer down if it exists
I'm buying season tickets if Zion is acquired though

We don’t want you.
Regardless of the odds you wait and see what develops. If the Knicks have a top 2 pick you use that in negotiations with LAL and Boston. Just wait and see what develops when more teams can bid.

True. But he’ll be at the top of the 300’s with the poors and West Bank trash that come to route for the away team so it won’t affect us.

If I were the Pels, I'd have Jrue on the block.
If they do the Lakers deal, there's no untouchable player in that deal. I'd be scouting to see what the market would be and go from there.
I could easily see giving Ingram money, because it keeps max money around to make him a sidekick and flipping the rest.
Brown/Ingram is pretty equal for me, and I'm not convinced the Celtics picks are high enough to offset the volume you get from the Lakers, even if you don't get the prime picks.
Past 10, it's a crapshoot. From the link I posted, #24 picks had a higher career ppg than #11 picks.

Please dude. Courtside seats for the pels are cheap. I'm from California bub

What is with the obsession for Westbank people with Pels fans in this context? How is it not others from elsewhere rooting for the other team?

Southern people are weird dude. Like they are emotionally stunted or something. They hold grudges like no other region in the world

Folks that try to typify an entire region of people with simple words like weird are fricking obtuse.
