To me a Bos deal centered around Tatum, and a Knicks deal centered around a top 3 pick are a toss up depending on what else is included.
Lakers deals aren't even comparable.
This! This! This! Only way Lakers get in this game is if they can flip Ball, Ingram or Kuzma for some high draft picks or a better player.
And I don’t think the Brown vs. Ingram debate is what this trade is about. It’s Tatum > Brown/Ingram. A Boston deal without Tatum is on par with the Lakers.
A1) Tatum, parts & picks - Boston (East)
A2) Zion or Morant, parts & picks - NYK (East)
D4) Ball, Ingram, Kuzma & picks - Lakers (West)

The #2 pick has been trash for decades dude.
Both Lonzo (2017) and Ingram (2016) are #2 picks. So, according to you, the package LA is offering is "trash".
I agree, fwiw.

We will take a few of those along with AD

The #2 pick is not bad
Dude. Huge difference between Zion and the field.
Huge historical bust potential too from #1 and #2
These are both facts dude.

Pels are waiting on Lakers to overwhelm them w/ an historic haul of picks. To Nola, that means Lakers offering 4 first-round and second-round picks as part of a Davis package. Pels want to be compensated - perhaps even overcompensated - to even consider a deal with LA now.
In honor of black history month:

Gonzo is not good imo so ya trash but he's being moved to phx. Ingram is not #2 pick good, but he's a very solid player still.
The point is #2 draft picks have been expendable for years.
So pels really need the #1 from nyk or they are just taking a worse offer with anything less than that

You’re still here arguing that the Pels should take this Lakers deal? How?

Ew. Harris/Gallo and Williams/Harrell plus Robinson and a pick...if Pels fans didn't like the Lakers offer, that's about half as good.

Yup

I'm shocked SDV is ready to give up the best player in LA so easily.

It's a good fn deal dude. Are you guys that clueless about the NBA.
The Lakers gutted 90% of team. 2-4 future firsts. two top #2 picks with All-NBA upside and 2 guys who are already NBA proven rotation players with enough upside to be above average starters in the league.
The odds of you getting anything close to that from those 4 Boston picks is like 0.1% according to past data

I don't really get this.
Brown is 12.6, 4.3 and 1.7 with a 13 PER. Ingram is 17.2, 4.9, 3.2 and a 12.7 PER. Same number of years in the league.
It's about the picks, but he won't have nearly the same likelihood of demanding the early max (and it will be easier saying no).

The picks are decent, but unlikely to be high lottery for the reasons DR laid out. A pick in the 10-12 range vs the remainder of the Lakers assets, well, there are a ton of busts in the 10-12 range.
A better, cheaper gamble to make

Bubba, if Ingram's (All NBA) value is so high why doesn't Magic deal him for that value and use it to swing the deal? That's what More would do
