I love discussing helmets and uniforms as much as the next guy, but I agree. It got me when back about 15 or so years ago State fans would get all pissy with each other saying certain players commit to schools because of uniforms, and maybe they did. If there was a player and the main reason he went to a school was because of a freaking uniform I wouldn't want him on my team.

Nope. They have the wings on other combinations.
They released a couple other uni's for 2024 already that have the wings helmet. Naturally, one of the new uni's is an all black uniform, because that's unique.

If I were a big time player these days and got the chance to live close to so much good hiking/hunting, got paid a frick ton of money from Phil Knight, and get to wear stuff like that on Saturdays in what is usually a great environment... might be hard to turn down.

I think Oregon will finally get over the hump and win a natty in the next few years, and I like that they're throwing it back a bit with these.

Agreed. They have a succession plan in terms of QB for the next few years. They have recruited OL well. They are attracting top tier skill position players. The defensive recruiting has been good, but I think they need to keep adding guys at DL.
