I feel more confident in IU and Georgia though. Especially IU

It's a 4 seed vs a 5 seed.

Because Oregon winning isn't an upset dumbass.
OMG, a 5 seed is beating a 4 seed. must be the bye week.
This isn't like #10 Miami knocking off #2 Ohio State.
Not to mention that TT is from shitty Big12 and Oregon is from Big10.

If you still don't understand the difference then you can't be helped

It's more to do with the teams with byes being super overrated. Indiana fits in that category too.

This take is weak and juvenile.

What "good" teams did Texas Tech beat this year? Answer: #12 BYU and #15 Utah.

ETA: and they lost to 8-5 Arizona State

This tech offense has looked great , one of the best all year. Now it looks worse than LSUs.

A lot of people are making a big deal of this, but it’s worth pointing out that five of the six teams with byes were underdogs.

Causation vs correlation

Has nothing to do with the BYE

Wasn’t every top 4 seed an underdog in round 2 last year?

This is a 4/5 matchup.

Ohio State played a god awful schedule and lost to the only elite team they played. Struggled against a piss poor Texas team that is light years better than they were in Texas

I think this outcome was destined no matter which team had the bye. Texas Tech's offense is not ready for big time college football.

Bye excuse is a red herring.

The teams with the byes suck.

I find it more annoying that we have to keep expanding the playoff to include the best teams because the top spots are taken by overrated teams who play dogshit all year and inflate their rankings.

They beat OSU and Oregon and are undefeated. What do you believe is their appropriate ranking?

We'll see after today. I still think they're a paper tiger. The B10 is overrated.
