That might rival the competitive advantage that a team of 19 yo’s has. LOL

The visitor dugout still only holds about 8 teenagers, while the home dugout holds about 50. Seating still sucks. They still don't have a mound for the visiting team to warmup pitchers. The on deck circle is still practically on top of the hitter/catcher/fair

It's kind of what home field advantage is all about, but also kind of just silly. I know it seems like I'm bicthing but it really is silly.

Curtis has a history of doing Bush League shite like this. The Shrine was their home stadium with football. It’s sucks for the visiting team’s fans…

Visitors side is basically the South end zone… It’s a terrible venue for football, but great for baseball.

Sucks they don’t use it for what it’s was built for.

I never said it was illegal. It's just silly. Play it at Rooney or Segnette. But, I get it.

Anyone know about Mike Miley park? Is it a pretty big field. ASH has an outfield that can cover ground, but not alot of pop in the line up. The bigger the track the better for us IMHO.

Pretty standard. 312 down the lines, gets up to 400 in dead center. Plenty of foul ground.

Did they change the Miley dimensions since the last time I was there? Didn’t think it got up to 400

They didn't change anything. I thought it got up to or close to 400. CF plays deep.

seems kinds normal, at least it isnt a little bitty place. The biggest difference, Riverdale last week was unable to track down balls in the outfield last week that were just a touch harder than routine, that was the biggest difference I saw. We still beat them without it, but not as bad as we did.

With all due respect, Riverdale is not very good. Rummel is a title contender. Arencibia is their ace, a Tulane signee, and they have a few other nice arms. They have Mikey Ryan at SS, an LSU signee, and another Tulane commit in the lineup. Arencibia is a good hitter, too. One of their OFs is a WR on the football team. I believe he is going to Loyola. They're going to be a tough out for anybody.

That is understood. They were pretty poor defensively all around. They had a pretty ok lefty that started first game who needed some defensive help that he did not receive. They did not seem to be a D1 program.

Rummel will be a tough out. But , on paper, no one seems to be on Catholics level.

Rummel might not be Catholic but they are not that far behind and definitely better than everyone else

I attended Salmen at John Curtis Class 4A baseball playoffs at Mike Miley in the 1990s.

I'm going to St. Frederick at Opelousas Catholic on Friday.

Saturday, I could be at either North Vermilion/Minden or STM/Evangel if there is a Game 3.

Just published a story on The Acadiana Advocate re: Notre Dame at Parkview Baptist.

Parkview Baptist's pitching stats must be incredible. They've barely been scored upon.
