Apparently, things were so bad in Cleveland that Andre Drummond needed less than two weeks to realize his current scenario was far worse than the one he just left. The Pistons sent Drummond to Cleveland on February 6, and Shams Charnia reported today that the big man was telling teammates the situation in Cleveland was worse than Detroit, which isn't a great sign:

Detroit did him dirty... He played his arse off for them and they reward him by shipping him to Cleveland???? What a dick move.... Could have least find a contender and get some decent picks... This is one reason the NBA sucks....

The Cavs have a bunch of selfish youngsters and vets that remember what it was like when they were on top of the basketball world who can't get out. It is kind of a terrible mix.

No contender wants him at the salary he’s getting

In what sports league are the teams trading their assets for less so they can be nice?

Detroit did exactly what they should have done. Find the best deal and do what's best for the team.

He's due 28 mil next season. It is highly unlikely that the open market will value him at that rate or anything even close to that rate. Center has become the most least valuable position in basketball. Their will be plenty of Centers on the market. He may be stuck with sucking it up for one season in Cleveland.

He's at the top of this FA class though. He definitely won't be in 2021.

Drummond really doesn’t have a spot at his salary in today’s NBA. He should be happy just collecting a paycheck.

He was dissatisfied with what Beilein was doing at Cleveland, a sentiment every player on that team had

NBA players revolt when the coach isn't their buddy. That Cavs roster is full of fricking losers and they need to purge everyone not named Garland, Exum, Porter, and Windler.
