There's another guy, forget who, but he was a TE for the 49ers in the 80s, who I think went to Med School while a Ayer in the NFL. He basically said, yeah the NFL is easy and it's basically only a part time job. He was a boss.

That is pretty damn cool. Leach is a weird one certainly, but he isn't dumb.

Do students at Harding still have to sign a paper saying they won't have sex or was that just a rumor I once heard?

Law degrees at Pepperdine must be quite, well, easy to obtain.

The old joke is why doesn't everybody try to get in there?

Well cost...if you factor in everything, tuition, campus housing, Etc. Its $80,000 A year.

USC had an opportunity to move their campus from inner city L.A. to where Pepperdine is now but declined. But that was a long time ago, around the 1930s.
I'm seeing that USC is more expensive than Pepperdine in 2021 with 7 or 8x the enrollment & 5x the endowment. Is USC as culturally relevant had they moved to the " boondocks " 30 miles outside L.A. in 1930 instead of remaining in downtown L.A.?

Didn't realize Pepperdine was caught up in the racial & Social unrest in 1950's / 1960s L.A. They bailed after the Watts riots

As of about 10 years ago, yes. Also says they won't drink, as well as fornicate, I believe.

Unwed chicks that get pregnant at Harding get kicked out of school. They also have to go to a minimum Church of Christ chapel services per week.

It's basically BYU, but without the magic underwear and caffeine restrictions. They also have a good football team.

Went to a party once at Harding. Lamest shite I've ever been to. The entire town is also that way. I don't know how they get so many good athletes to go there. Their facilities, though, are really good for a small DII school, so maybe that's it.

All of the Duck Dynasty kids also went to Harding. It's a bizarre place, but the Church of Christ folks talk about it like Catholics talk about Notre Dame.
