I’m no Bama fan. In fact, frick Bama.
But…How can you say Notre Dame deserved this spot over Alabama? Alabama went on the road to beat another playoff team. Maybe Notre Dame deserved that spot. Maybe Notre dame deserved the JMU and Tulane spots because they clearly didn’t belong.
But to say that they specifically deserve it over Alabama due to Alabama losing a game, no matter how badly, is dumb.

Alabama didn't just "lose" the game today. They were non competitive. They didn't look like a great or even good team. They were destroyed.
They looked great in the win over Georgia...back in September.
They have not looked like a playoff team since that day.
And I'm no ND fan. But they played the schedule they had and dominated everyone since the opening 2 losses by a combined 4 points to 2 playoff teams.

But we will continue to see this treatment for schools like Alabama and Notre Dame. Look at all those times Notre Dame got in to just always be beat. We need a committee that can look beyond history.

Had Notre Dame won their conference they would have been in the playoffs.
