He used to fly in to Stakville and hook up with a State student he met at the Memphis Open. He kept a sweet Porsche parked at her place to use when he was in town. This was late 80s.

It seems he felt forced into it by a demanding father and missed out on childhood. I mean he didn't even get to experience high school, dropping out to focus on tennis.
At least Mac went to Stanford for a year.

Huge Agassi fan. He is the reason I got into liking tennis back in the day. As a sneaker head, last year's US Open was the 30 year mark for the Nike Challenge Court collection, highlighted by a lot of Agassi-wear. Needless to say, I tried to grab as much as possible.

Agreed sounded like a not entirely true statement when reading the book. Also he seemed to struggle a lot with his back that could add to his questionable relationship to the sport.

didnt he also admit to using meth a couple time before matches when he was in the down period of his career? crazy he was able to turn it all around for his comeback.
he's still one of my all-time favorites. loved watching agassi vs. sampras.

His dad would crush up meth and put it in his water bottle when he was a kid in order to get him "ready" for matches
