Logic fail. Either way, tieing requires you to make one 2 point conversion. If you do it after the first touchdown, you will know whether you have to score two more touchdowns or a TD and a FG. Now they know they can go FG,TD. Had they not made it, they could adjust knowing that FG,TD was useless.
