Horrible thing that happened to the poor kid. Not even a kid-- a toddler. It takes a very different kind of murderer to do that. Sorta make adult murders seem almost pedestrian. That said.

I have lost a good deal of respect for AP.

If my son was in critical condition (now we see it was very critical), there is no way in hell I'd be going to work.
When an NFL player's parent or sibling dies, and he plays the next week, it appears to be a strong move. When a player's kid dies it's just odd.
Losing a child absolutely devastates the life of a parent. It's very unlike losing a sibling/parents. It drastically changes a person.

As it appears to me, AP knocked this kids mom up and split. Probably only saw this kid a few times a year, if that. AP is in a difficult PR situation. He barely knew this son and had little attachment to him but he needs to act like he is in deep mourning to the public.

Bottom line IMHO, when he said he would practice and play on Sunday it showed he barely knew his son.

Yet again, another worthless piece of shite that needs to be hung on steps of state capital with his balls in his mouth.

If all that is true, then yes. Very disturbing to find this information out.

Disclaimer: As indicated in the post, the part of being distant with his son is speculation on my part. These aren't rumors I've head, but simply the way it appears to me based on his actions.

From what I've read so far, he hooked up with her awhile back and never saw her again. Didn't know she was pregnant, didn't know he had a kid until very very recently. Some reports even saying just before this incident happened.

If true, and it very well could be, then that changes things. Hard to be distant from your kid if you don't know he exists. Wonder if its even his?

Please, when something like this happens to a child you don't think the parents are a victim as well? They most definitely are.

AP was never a parent to this boy! You and I would be victims, if something happened to our kids, but this boys mama is culpable and his dad, AP, didn't even know him!

There is no way the mother off this child knew it was AP's child and didn't pursue child support that would've financially set her for life. You people saying he didn't know the child was his are insane.

How do you think the majority of professional players end up broke? They stick their dicks in every crevice available to them and spend the next 18 years paying for it.

When my son had colic as an infant, and he was virtually inconsolable, I never once thought about shaking him or physically hurting him. And I am short tempered. I remember how frustrating it was, and I would walk outside screaming and crying at 3-4 a.m., but harm to my child never crossed my mind. These kind of individuals are truly sick and deserve what happens to them in prison!
