Would like to compete in 2016 in the 200 and 400.

USA Today article
quote:

"I feel like I can stand up to any challenge," Peterson said. "I know a lot of people laugh and be like 'come on, let's be real with yourself -- it's Usain Bolt,' but I feel like you can accomplish anything you put your mind to."

Think he could do it?

You're probably right, but it's hard to doubt the guy after doing what he's done this season.

He won't come close. It would be a major accomplishment if he could get a qualifying time to get invited to the trials.

Didn't Peterson also say he was like a slave as an NFL player one time?

Hell of a Running back though.

From during the lockout

quote:

"It's modern-day slavery, you know? People kind of laugh at that, but there are people working at regular jobs who get treated the same way, too. With all the money," Peterson continued. "The owners are trying to get a different percentage, and bring in more money."

When I clicked on this I thought he was going to say Bobsled like Herschel did.

If he's talkin' sprints on the track, he has no chance.

Jamaal Charles, Chris Johnson, Trindon Holliday, CJ Spiller, etc. have a much better chance at T&F since they have actually ran track on a national and/or world class level before.

Only if they leveled the playing field and required everyone to wear pads. Also on the relay, they would have to avoid a member of another country trying to steal the baton. Then I would say yes.

I would love to see that btw.

That's why I have always thought the combine workouts should be done in full gear. Pads, helmet, mouthpiece, football shoes all make a huge difference in the game speed of most players.

It's not hard at all...he probably would have equal chance to make the olympic team in basketball or ....golf instead of track. Sprinting is what those guys do for a living, they are as good at it as he is at toting the football. The 4th best American sprinter could (presuming the relay leg), relatively speaking, jog past AP. BTW Usain Bolt would not be a very good running back either (would hate to cover him deep though!)
