I’m no Gard fan. But he does have two highly ranked classes coming in.

And we don’t lose a starter off this years squad.

NCAA really fricked us w Potter this year. Crucial frontline depth.

Pat Chambers finally get things going in Happy Valley? Seems like he's been on the hot seat for the entire decade he's been there.

Who expects anything out of PSU? They gotta know their place.

Frick, Dechellis left them for an academy. Lol

Why did Penn St build that massive arena? They have absolutely no fan base for basketball. Most of the time, the entire upper deck is curtained off? I get they needed a new arena, but did it have to be a 20k seat arena? It felt like there were 20 people at the game last night.

Delusions of grandeur, with an added bonus of attracting major entertainment events to central Pennsylvania.

Going to be a bloodbath. It's impressive how bad Wisconsin has shot the 3PT away from the Kohl Center this season.

Easy.

Wisconsin has a bright future with 2020 and 2021 classes, but it’s time for players like D’Mitrik Trice to move elsewhere — without looking, I have to imagine he’s the worst starting Wisconsin PG of the last 25 years.

Its bad for basketball atmosphere certainly, but they use the Schott for many other events.

They can hold those at Nationwide.

The Schott was a terrible decision.

My personally fantasy would be either:

Knock down the Schott + St Johns Arena and build some smaller, upscale venue for basketball games(similar to St Johns Arena, but located where the Schott currently is) and turn the entire area that St Johns currently is located into an open, grassy area with paths and whatnot. That would make for an incredibly nice area for tailgating football games. That would obviously require some sort of parking garage to make up for all those lost parking lots, but worth it, IMO.

Or still knock down the Schott, do whatever with that space the university feels necessary, but reface St Johns and bring it up to new-age standards as far as amenities and looks go. They could knock down those ugly arse buildings beside it(ice rink and field house) and put some sort of parking garage in that space. Then that could free up all the parking lots surrounding Ohio Stadium to be used as grassy tailgating spots.

Ohio Stadium is beautiful, but being surrounded by nothing but blacktop parking lots sort of ruins the aesthetics of it from any sort of arial view.

The Schott isn't getting knocked down.

The bball atmosphere will suck for a long while.

That’s why I prefaced it “my fantasy”

But still... imagine the Shoe surrounded by grass, trees and pathways instead of blacktop. Tailgating would be so much more enjoyable.

Same reason we built the CLA
Not just for basketball.
To have concerts too.

Hey we got Taylor Swift to come to Columbia.
Didn’t even think she knew where that was on a map

Maybe. Based on the development of players under Gard, not as confident.

Davison looked so promising as a freshmen. Does and Trice. Meh. King is maybe starting it show some development. Will give Gard as pass on him due to injury.

That would be hard to tell. Since he probably woulda been ok in the early Bo years. And more than fine during the late 90s.
