It’s in NYC though. $37.5mil/yr there is like making $100k in Bunkie.

Brady was about the 10th highest paid QB for basically his entire post-Rookie deal. Yes, he made up a lot by stretching out signing bonuses and contantly re-working his deal (almost on a year to year basis)

Exactly. Brady got his money. Just because the annual salary was low is irrelevant.

Manning was making $20M/yr for years, plus he still had giant signing bonuses.

Brady in his mid-late 30s, still in his prime, was making as low as $9M/yr.

Show me the contract breakdowns by year to justify this math.

Curious as to why this never happened in Green Bay with Rodgers.

The financial windfall for Aaron Rodgers if the wins a Super Bowl in New York will dwarf the $35m.

Pretty sure he restructured his deal as necessary.

The last contract they agreed to was a sham. It was a poison pill and he was never getting that money.

Yes, he made up a lot by stretching out signing bonuses and contantly re-working his deal (almost on a year to year basis) but he was always vastly underpaid compared toamy of his contemporaries. Go look at his numbera compared to Peyton Manning's.

Manning was making $20M/yr for years, plus he still had giant signing bonuses.

Brady in his mid-late 30s, still in his prime, was making as low as $9M/yr.

It's hogwash to say he didn't take less. He always did, even in Tampa, when guys like Rodgers and fricking Kirk Cousins were making almost double him.

My conspiracy theory is that Robert Kraft/the org paid him "under the table" for use of his TB12 stuff in order to get around the cap

Wasn't Jerry Jones busted for this at one point or they made a rule based upon what he was doing with the Cowboys?

man athletes can't win for losing. All we hear about is how greedy athletes are and how they need to help the team out by not taking every nickel, and when one does it he gets called a dumbass.

I mean, he doesn’t have kids and he doesn’t talk to his parents. Where’s the legacy money going anyway?

I doubt any green bay fans will be rooting for him to do well in NY after this and showing up to OTA'S

If i were the Jets I'd give Josh Jacobs a call.
