He got started too late to challenge Peyton's records. He very well can top his super bowls though

Except arm strength and overall athleticism.

Well yeah if you said Rodgers skill set > Mannings skill set I would have agreed. But to say Rodgers at his best is better than Manning at his best is just laughable. It would be virtually impossible to play QB better than Manning last season or in 2004.
At their best, neither can be stopped. They might do it a little differently, but there is no difference in results.

Meh. There's really no difference between Rodgers best and Mannings best. Both are unstoppable at their best.

Maybe so, but I don't know if his stats add up in the end. Not that it should somehow go against him, but he had to sit a couple years behind Brett Favre.

In first 100 career starts:
Rodgers Favre
W-L 68-32. 68-32
TD/INT ratio 4.1. 1.9
Pass YPG 275. 241
GOAT?

quote:How can you say that Rodgers has a better skill set and then follow up with saying Rodgers over Peyton is laughable? Both have put up incredible numbers and have looked unstoppable on the field. Throw in the fact that one is more athletic and has a better arm. Uh... Let's all share a laugh, I guess.

Just how fricking ridiculous is that?

It's hard to grasp how amazing that is until you look at 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.
Tom Brady 2.76
Peyton Manning 2.29
Steve Young 2.17
Tom Brady 2.76
Peyton Manning 2.29
Steve Young 2.17

Aaron Rodgers could be kidnapped and given a lobotomy and I would still choose him over Peyton Manning.

I can't bump it because it's like a year old, but there was a "is Aaron Rodgers a system QB?" thread last year. Good times

Let me guess, Flynn was used as evidence in that thread

I'm open to a discussion. Or we can all just resort to emoticons in an attempt to belittle each other without actually formulating an argument.

I'll let you know when I stop laughing. We can "discuss" why Peyton Manning had a better season in 2013 than Aaron Rodgers in 2011 then.
