Aaron Rodgers FA thread

Mates, there's lots of reportage today on our hero.
The most important update is that Aaron has offers from both NY Giants and Pittsburgh, but that he's holding out and hoping for an offer from Minnesota. The Vikings GM and Owner have left things entirely in the court of Kevin O'Connell, their highly regarded head football coach.
If Minny passes on the legendary gunslinger, Rodgers would then choose between PIT, NYG, and retirement. Minnesota is Rodgers' clear #1 choice. They may be his only choice - he may opt to retire rather than play for PIT or NYG.
I am hoping to see Aaron in Minnesota purple for at least one season.

Really sad to see the greats when it becomes obvious to everyone but themselves that their time has passed and nothing will change that.

Has his "time" passed? He can still sling it a bit, though not on the run, obviously. Not sure the Vikings want to put up with his circus. Not sure Tomlin, as many detractors as he has, will put up with it, either.

Surprising for a Based guy like him

I don't want him in the division. Need Minny to take some steps back from 14-3.

He was 8th in the NFL in passing yards and 7th in passing touchdowns.

Minnesota has "checked in" on 40 year old QB with a Super Bowl ring, Joe Flacco per SI

I think Minn could be a good fit for him. They could give the Michigan guy another year to recover.

Can’t wait for the eventual video of him getting off of the plane in Minnesota with the HC.

I think he could have a Favre type of year for my Vikings, but honestly… I can’t stand the dude. Stay away

KOC and Co. have a great staff, I think they know it's a bad idea. But, for one year, it has to be tempting.

HC picking him up at the airport

Nobody wants his bullshite drama. And he's washed.

Why? Rodgers hasn't won a game of consequence in 5 years.

I dont understand the hype around him.
He's going to be 42 and won just five games last year.
I'd rather go with Russell Wilson, who did decline at the end of last season but the offense around him was quite poor.

Why don't you leave the football talk to the men, sweetie
