Another hung slider, another XBH. He was about 5 feet from another. Not even Bonds was doing this. Judge OPS a healthy 3.0833 in this game. Milwaukee is giving out XBH’s like Halloween candy. If Hicks can homer off you.......

I know Judge is gonna be nice, but how badly does he want to stay in NY? The Yankees are going to give him an offer he cannot refuse
I think truthfully Judge wants to stay in NYY… but not for a discount.
If the Giants, Dodgers, Mets, etc were to extend him some insane offer, I believe he would give the Yankees a chance to match it. I think legacy matters, and I’m sure he’d love to see his 99 retired one day.

Aaron Judge is now slugging .701.
AL Batting Leaders
1. Arraez at .316733
2. Boggarts at .316406
3. Judge at .31619
Judge was 5 feet from his first three-homerun game. Boston does not play tomorrow, so Judge will not be the BA leader until Tuesday. He has improved is BA by NINE points in just five games. The others have fallen. If he keeps this up, we might be thinking MLB Triple Crown. Barry Bonds batted .328 in 2001, but the leader batted .350, and ten players batted .330 or better. The Yankees play the Pirates (LOL), so I look for more XBH's and homers. I say that he gets #62 against the Red Sox next week.
As predicted, he is having a RIDICULOUS September. He is batting .491, slugging 1.018, and his OBA is .5857. This means he is OPS 1.604 in the month of September. Eight homers, and five doubles. I don't see him slowing down, as they play the Pirates and the Red Sox next week. I don't think he gets to 2.000 OPS, but what if he gets to 1.7 or 1.8?
He needs just 89 total bases to tie the record - still not likely, but he got 11 today, so who knows?

Ahhh, I remember when I was a 12 year old baseball fan. Good memories.

I’m pretty damn knowledgeable for a 12 year-old, aren’t I? I’m just posting stats with some guesses. If Judge holds up this pace in Sept, it will be a top 5 month all-time.

I'm a Yankee fan and we do NOT have October pitchers. It's mind blowing.

Just when I thought that the Yankees had top shelf pitching, they implode. Will they be healthy and consistent enough to win 11 games? Trading Montgomery, as everyone knows was an enormous mistake, and Montas has not panned out. Judge has been a machine, but teams can limit the damage, especially in the playoffs. Teams have zero respect for the rest of the lineup, which means Judge, at best, gives you one or two runs. Teams don't need to pitch around Judge. Judge came up with bases empty on five out of six PA's. Only the last AB, did Judge have runners on, at which point, Milwaukee really did not GAF about the outcome of that AB. Obviously, opposing pitching will be much better; the rest of the lineup has not proven that they can hit against a pitching staff with a pulse (they can feast on mediocre to bad pitching like today - Milwaukee's pitching was barely AAA material today). I despise the Astros, so hopefully that changes, but I give the Yankees about a 10% chance to make it to the WS, and that's only because Aaron Judge wears pinstripes.

It will be interesting what the Yankees offer. They aren't the free spenders they once were with Papa Steinbrenner in charge. There was a time I thought for sure they would find a way to keep Cano.

It'll be interesting, but I don't think Cano was a "must keep" like Judge is. There are a few names in sports that are "must keeps". Steph Curry on the Warriors would be an example. He could get a 40M+/YR contract and not many teams will be willing to pony up.

Cano never chased a Triple Crown like Judge is doing. But he was still an elite player in his prime. He was on a path to the HOF. And would have been the biggest star on the team after Jeter retired. And at the time, no one could have predicted he would keep getting suspended. And he was more durable than Judge has been.

Judge winning the triple crown would be an amazing accomplishment and I hope he does so.

Arraez is 0-2 so as of right this moment, Judge is in second place behind Boggarts. Boston does not play today.
ETA- Arraez is now 1-3, and his night may be over. With that hit, he has taken the lead at .31683. He will still remain ahead of Judge, even if he gets another AB and is out.

Hell of a game tonight!
It wasn't that great of a game, only it ended nicely for the Yankees. The ninth inning wasn't well-played, it had a AA-quality pitcher who should have been pulled after the walk to Torres. Some of the stupidity that I see makes you wonder if some things are done intentionally.

Pirates were dumb and Will Crowe is barely AAA quality, but ZFG. Judge now leads the AL with a .316 average - his last AB gave him the BA lead as Arraez and Boggarts continue to play poorly. Judge just might get 70+; again, pitching and management matters. Judge saw three meatballs on Sunday, and he saw one tonight. He will see a lot more over the next 15 games. He might homer in 11+ of them. Only Boone can stop him from getting 70. A Yankee loss would have made the Astros Five away from a #1 seed, thereby rending the last several games meaningless for the Yankees (which means Boone possibly sitting Judge). He will obviously get the record this week. The sooner the better, but I think he hits #61 tomorrow, and gets #62 against Boston.
This has to be considered possibly one of the GOAT seasons - 60+ homers, batting triple crown in the AL (maybe the MLB, but not yet), 140+ RBI, and a GG type season in the outfield. Not to mention, Judge has shown his ability to be a five-tool player.
Freeman leads the MLB with a .330 average as of RIGHT THIS MINUTE. Not going to do a MLB Triple Crown watch unless Judge gets to within .01 of the leader.
Also, he had 372 TB's, which means he needs 86 more bases to break the TB's record!

LFG mates - just smashed a 25 yo and dozed off. Woke up to see me wager cashed and I'm holding a green ducat. Cheers.

Hard to believe that it paid 3.5 to 1 for Judge to hit a homer, especially against the Pirates. I need to get on and bet for 70 from GOAT.

Looks like a Yankee will continue to be the HR leader...Ruth, Maris, Judge.
