agreed... they will make an example out of him, if in fact they charge him with obstruction.

Can someone give me a quick explanation of what happened here. Did he kill the guy? Is that the thought?

I feel like they will add more than just obstruction of justice. They came out of his house with even more evidence since the arrest rumors came up, searched a pond by his house so they know something else, just need to find proof of that something else

We don't know much right now, but he definitely killed a guy, maybe two.

five years in prison ain't sh*t?....if convicted, he'll likely never play football again.

Well if he does go to prison and gets released, he can always play for the packers.

More likely he ends up with the Browns

cops/prosecutor go and publicly arrest him when he and his lawyer were waiting to turn himself in?

sounds like an overzealous prosecutor or one going for some major publicity

Really? Because it's pretty clear this kid has his hand in murder, but yet lets give him the opportunity to turn himself in rathern than just grabbing him. Hokay...

The only thing this does is give some cops and a prosecutor TV time. I don't know why you think allowing Hernandez to turn himself in would be so bad.

Because in that scenario anything can happen that would allow the police an prosecution to be questioned in retrospect.

When he gets that call any number of things can happen. He can decide he wants to put a bullet in his head instead rather than open up to the possibility of life in jail. He can decide no thanks an decide to run.

There are fewers possibilities an fewer ways for this to reflect poorly on them if they just go pick him up. Other than being criticized for wanting to get T.V. time right?

If he would have cooperated, they would have let him turn himself in.

Hernandez, Sanchez on deadspin, Alex Rodriguez told to shut the F up... Not a good day for the Hispanic community.

Because allowing him to turn himself in gives his lawyers TV time. Most prosecutors are smart enough to know that they want to get their story out first rather than letting the accused do so.
