They did! Lost four draft picks, $5 million, and two of the highest people in the organization lost their jobs.

I don’t know about that A-rod has conned his back into baseball’s good graces.

He is a salesmen at heart and really good one. He is only motivated by his brand these days, dude is full of shite

Arod can get fricked

It's gonna be interesting when him and David Ortiz are eligible for the HOF. Because that's the rationale for keeping guys like Bonds out.

There's no real way to express how much regret we have, how much remorse we have," George Springer said. "I'm sorry we're in this situation today. I regret the fact that we are in this situation today. I feel horrible for our sport, our game, our fans, our city, our organization, the way the our team is being viewed."

"I'm sorry we're in this situation" not "I'm sorry for what I did"

No one put a gun to our head," Yuli Gurriel added. "It would be a lie to say that one or two people are responsible. We are all responsible

"We willingly cheated"

I showed up (in an August trade in 2017) and once I spent time there and understood what was happening, I wish I'd have said more," Justin Verlander said. "Looking back, I can't go back. I can't reverse my decision. I wish I had said more and I didn't. For that, I'm sorry.

"Eh, they were the ones cheating. I guess I could've said something"

quote:

Reddick cont.: "It's just something we got to ask for forgiveness again and keep saying how bad we feel, because this team feels very sorry, very bad for what has happened and that we didn't take more of a role in preventing it."

"Pls forgive us, we feel really bad"

Carlos Correa: “It’s no excuse for that. We were wrong for everything we did in 2017. We feel really sorry...We know we affected careers. We affected the game in someway. It was just bad..We wished we would have stopped it at the time. We didn’t & for that we’re paying the price

The only legit apology of this bunch.

This reaction is why I wouldn’t have cared if the Astros hadn’t apologized at all.

“Yeah, you’re very sorry, you feel really bad, but THAT’S NOT ENOUGH!!”

Problem most people have isn’t with the apologies or the lack of remorse. No one really cares about that.

Biggest issue is that they barely had any punishment at all. There were minimal consequences.

Uh, lack of remorse is what this whole thread is about.

As much as I love Bregman's bravado and attitude, I will say it's a bad look from him this spring. He's been as quiet as a mouse, which he can't be when he acts the way he does.
I never liked him when he was at LSU. I could just tell he was this type of guy. Can’t wait to see them get booed and hopefully shite thrown at them all season.

I understand that. I think the reason it hasn’t died is that most people feel the Astros cheated and escaped without any punishment.

I think Manfred’s press conference where he called the World Series trophy a piece of tin made things much worse, Might be the worse press conference I’ve ever seen.

He should have been fired after that.

I dgaf if they apologize or not. I'm just saying those aren't really apologies.

If you're going to say shite like that, just go full heel and don't apologize at all.

Complain to the union, it's not the astros players fault they aren't published.

The players union cut a deal and astros players talked. In hindsight they should have just denied it

Sorry, but this is dumb. If you get sent back down for one bad outing and never come back, it means you weren't a big league pitcher.

If there were 15 players in your division on steroids and you got sent down because you weren't juicing...that's another issue
