A month into the season, NBA ratings are trending downward. Of the 27 games on ESPN and TNT that can be compared to last year, 20 have posted a decline in ratings and/or viewership. That includes 17 games that have declined by double-digits.

LeBron effect. He's on so late in the east it's causing rating problems.

The NBA are the Warriors and LeBron. That's it. Nothing else matters and people know it.

Nothing is in doubt about how things are going to turn out until at least May, so why watch until then.

I can tell you with 99 percent certainty that the warriors will win the title barring multiple season ending injuries. No reason for casual fans to watch.

I don't pay attention to the NBA until February.

Haven't watched a game yet. Oops.

Ratings may be trending down but NBA topics on the MSB are trending up. It's where I get all my NBA info.

Yep. I am the go-to-guy for NBA for 1000s via MSB.

it's not that, it's that every individual game matters so little
