LINK

This isn't a new video, but I was curious after watching the Pels and now the Lakers. This crew is badass.

I love watching these videos, idk why but they're so satisfying to me. My favorite are the ones where they have to convert from hockey to basketball overnight

I want to say there was an instance like 5 or so years ago, where the Staples Center had to host 3 playoff games (Lakers, Clippers NBA and Kings NHL) in the span of 24 hours.

Here in Dallas on Saturday they had a Stars game at 1 pm and a Mavericks game at 8 pm in American Airlines Center. Wish I could have been inside to watch the swap, but the entire concession, traffic, and employee coordination has to be amazing.

I had tix with my dad in the later 00s for Mavs & Stars. We were in the Platinum level & not a lot of people realized or cared, I guess, but you could stay at the Platinum Club bar between games while the floor crew made the pkaying surface switch. It happened a handful of times over those years & my old man + I had some really good times & talks those days. Definitely fond of those memories.

In a way, it’s cool. On the other hand, it seems like a lot of unnecessary work. I don’t know why the NBA would schedule 2 games for the same arena on the same day.

Furthermore, why not have a neutral court on days like this? I understand needing to change out ad signage because those sponsors pay for 41 home games for a specific team. But the rest seems unnecessary.

The wildest one I can remember in Atlanta was the 2008 SEC basketball tournament. How those people got everything moved from Phillips Arena to Georgia Tech so quickly after the tornado was mind boggling.

What’s more impressive is how they clean all the shite out from under the seats and make the stands look brand new that quickly. All the peanuts and nachos and beer cans and piss and shite.
