The narrative will be that "even the NFL's most loyal fanbase is cognizant of the extreme risk of covid and are choosing to stay home."

The reality is that those fans (like me with LSU football) absolutely want there to be football AND to attend games in person. But, with the current unknown of (a) if football will be played; (b) how many fans, if any, will be allowed to attend the game, and (c) what precautionary rules will be in place for attendance, most are "opting out" because they simply don't have enough information right now to make a different decision.

Maybe it is because they are sick of the leftist agenda the NFL is shoving down their throats?

I'd say it probably has more to do with the fact that fans might not be allowed to attend games and that typically people have an issue with paying thousands of dollars for recreational shite they can't even use.

Pretty much this. GB already was going to limit the number of fans at the games (10-12k in a stadium that holds 81k) and they announced no fans for the first two home games. Why wouldn't fans opt out when the season is going to be one giant unknown? I assume most fans didn't want to deal with the headache of all of that and just decided to hold their place and go back next year.

Well to be fair the NFL is not as good as was even 20 years ago and it’s expensive as hell to go to even one game let alone 8....... even if I had the money to do this I would not..... face it NFL people are more consumed with college football than the NFL. IMO

For next year dumbass - there is a line for them

In July, the Packers asked season ticket holders to opt in or opt out of tickets in 2020. The decision did not affect ticket-holding status in future years and gave ticket holders an opportunity to receive a full refund for 2020 or have this year’s payment credited to the 2021 season.

A friend lives in G.Bay, 3 blocks from the stadium, and she says the "biggest issue by far" is the virus. Wisconsin has been a virus hot spot almost from the beginning & a large percentage of Packer fans have many of the underlying issues that makes the virus so risky.
