7th grader uses science project to vindicate Brady in Deflategate

Twelve-year-old Ben Goodell, a student at St. Pius V School in Lynn, makes sure to be clear he’s not related to Roger. That’s because Ben is no fan of the commissioner who suspended Patriots quarterback Tom Brady four games, fined the team $1 million and took away two of New England’s draft picks.
“I was kind of upset because I didn’t think it was fair for them to say that Tom Brady was going to be suspended for 4 games,” Ben told WBZ-TV.
So Ben used his school science project to right that wrong.
He got an official NFL ball, inflated it to legal size and subjected it to various conditions for two hours.
“I put it in humidity, cold, snow, wind chill and the same temperature that occurred during DeflateGate,” he explained.
A science project that claims to show weather conditions would indeed impact PSI on footballs. (WBZ-TV)
Then he took pressure readings. And guess what?
“Every single time I did this test the PSI dropped at least 2 PSI. That means it was scientifically proven that Tom Brady didn’t deflate the footballs, and it was just the weather conditions,” he says.

Ben is a great American.

Of course bullet proof science proven over and over and over by numerous labs and scientists ...not working for the nfl ...means nothing to most of the mouth breathers out there...and that includes 2 federal judges. Hey, it's so easy a 7th grader can do it.

The fact that this case is still going on is staggering to me. For any who listen to Bill Simmons he had a great podcast where Dan Wetzel talks about how absurd this case has been. It's fascinating that people are so easily manipulated by the NFL's media, including apparently federal judges.

The media is starting to crucify the NFL. The NFLs lawyer is straight up lying to the judges, and ommiting facts.

Roger Goodell and his incompetent stooge Troy Vincent are disgusting excuses for human beings.

I can't find the part where he explains how the Colts were able to follow the rules??...did I miss it somewhere??

Oh you.
I bet you are one of the people who still believes that 11 out 12 Mortenson tweet that even ESPN washed their hands of.
Also, the only highly deflated ball was on the Colts sideline for a bit.

How can the weather affect one teams balls, but not the others?
And if he didnt do it, then what were all those texts about?
If science disproves it then fine, but it aint like thats the only red flag here.

NFL can't even accurately say what the opening PSI for the balls were.

It cant.
Any "answers" will try to change the subject.

Lulz, some of you literally don't understand 1st grade math.
There's a RANGE the balls can be in. QBs have said some prefer high pressure some prefer low. Is it not possible that the Colts balls were on the high end and then the drop in pressure due to the weather reduced their pressure but not below the minimum level due to their balls starting off with more pressure than the Pats?

The media is coming around now to save face, but they still ate the NFL's original story hook line and sinker and crucified the Pats.
This is the worst part about the instant take media nonsense. No one takes a second to actually do any real digging. Once people started doing the diligence and reading things like the Wells Report (a convoluted document of hundreds of pages), everyone saw the NFL's nonsense for what it was.

It is certainly possible.
But when you add in the fumble stats going back to when teams first started making these claims against the pats, you should be able to see a pattern of working to gain an advantage.
I have no idea if they did it intentionally or not. But the fact remains the ball pressure went below the requirements. And just like in the real world, ignorance is not an excuse.

Don't they have text messages proving tom Brady liked his balls slightly deflated?
I thought it was common knowledge he did like them slightly deflated but no one really gives a shite

Fumble stats? Are you being serious?
Is LSU deflating balls, b/c they've had a RB fumble a ball like 3 times in the last 10 years. There was some ridiculous stat they had going not that long ago without fumbling.

No they're deflating them because it is easier for the QB to grip. Every QB that is any sort of good wants a deflated football.
Pump them to 18-20 overnight then right before deflate to 12.5. Then take the ball boy/manager to deflate one more time during game.

Those fumble stats have been so widely debunked, I'm not even going to bother.
If you can't even bother to fact check your own arguments, you're wasting everyone else's time.
