I mean, it's possible, buy why does he think that?

Or is he mainly joking?

He deserved to be fired but are we talking enough about James Harden and Embiid scoring 24 points COMBINED in a game 7? What is a coach supposed to do with that?

24 combined points
9 combined turnovers
from two MVP players.

Nurse and Monty Williams will be the top 2 targets. I'd also say Bud but I think his reputation has taken a hit over the last couple of years.

It's a hard team to coach, and a lot lies on them two for sure, but would you really want Doc to continue to coach this team, especially after another playoff collapse with him at the helm?

Harden was asked how his relationship with Doc was and he said "it's ok"

I wouldn’t have traded for Harden and made him a corner piece of my franchise to team with Embiid. Most of us predicted this would end in disaster. That move was the kill shot. If you’re making moves with Brooklyn, you move on Durant, not Harden.

This isn't on Harden. Since his trade to Philly, he has become an assist machine. The fact that the 76ers were able to unload Ben Simmons in the deal makes it crazy not to make it happen. The Nets lost that one, big time.

You keep your nucleus together and retool in the off-season. The biggest get for the 76ers will be the head coach.

He is a terrible head coach. Don’t know how he keeps getting gigs

Decent regular season coach, but relies on his players to make adjustments. I love to see either Mike Budenholzer, or Sam Cassell get a shot at the gig. Players seem to like Sam Cassell

But if you're goal is ultimately playoff success (not chasing and whining about MVP trophies), then Harden has to go. He had 2 really good games in this series but was an absolute disaster in the final 2 games, didn't look like he wanted to be there in another no-show game 7.

I'm curious to see who's to blame for it this time.

He became an assist machine this year after having the same dismal performance last year when it mattered. Embiid was pissed. It’s always excuses and next year with this guy.

Probably intense therapy. I don't see how he or his former Clippers players can cope after what Donald Sterling said in his private convo.

Here's a pic of Donald Sterling after he heard the Doc news.

He’s won one championship in 30 years of managing. Stick to what you know because sports isn’t it.

You can say the same thing about Chris Paul, Paul George, or many others in the playoff.

Embiid's game 3 against Boston was terrible and he said so. And that game 7 was a disaster for him. It left you wondering, did he really win the MVP?

Retool and get that guy at head coach. See LA Lakers.

Doc is the ultimate fall guy for superstars that cant get it done on the big stage.

That theory doesn't hold water considering the fact that he blew a 3-1 lead with Kawhi Leonard, one of the best NBA postseason performers of this generation or any generation for that matter. If you can't get it done in the playoffs with a healthy Kawhi Leonard, you're a really shitty postseason coach.

Well that's certainly a take...
