People complain that no one ever gets charged.

Some players get charged.

People complain that charges finally happened.

I'm not complaining, just providing a commentary, so there's that.

What have we seen over the years?

Todd Bertuzzi - Steve Moore experienced three fractured vertabrae in his neck, a grade three concussion, vertebral ligament damage, stretching of the brachial plexus nerves, and facial lacerations.

LeGarret Blounte sucker punch

Albert Haynesworth cleating Andre Gurode's head

Romanowski spitting in JJ Stokes face
Mike Tyson biting Holyfield's ear off

Just to name a few

He’s right. Just to name a few. Yes I agree this one was also not called for, but just odd how this is the one that gets charges
Didn’t one of the UM players get a concussion from this and his dad wanted to press charges? Not a lawyer, but doesn’t injury plus a victim that wants to press charges make a big difference in whether something like this gets charged at all?

Sports is often used as an excuse for these violent actions. It’s about time that violent actions are being punished in sports.

There are rules that can be followed while still applying “punishment” to your opponent. A proper form tackle with enough force can “punish” a ball carrier. There’s no need to intentionally try to hurt someone by slinging helmets as a weapon etc.

Myles Garrett should have faces charges as well.

This was the biggest farce in history of on field ice incidents.
Bertuzzi should have been in jail.

There is a video of the UM player instigating the fight, there is no way these charges lead to a conviction.

This is a PR deal.

Yeah this is the perfect cover they need to fire him with cause and avoid paying his buyout

In another thread it appears he gets his $ even if fired for cause.

Either the guy's agent is a fricking god, or Sparty is retardy.
