Half-baked idea of the night: It would be electric if hockey rolled straight into the sudden death overtime at the end of the 3rd period with no stoppage in play.

Can’t say this often about NHL leadership but this was an amazing idea and decision. NHL desperately needs a shot in the arm and with the NBA in the midst of an identity crisis this can be a great way to recruit eyeballs to the sport. Hockey at its highest level is pretty unmatched in intensity.

Finland's D is super thin but they play such great team defense
