A 3 man rush against a decent QB is a recipe for failure.

It was the right call. The coverage was just shite.

The coaching in CFB is an absolute embarrassment the last few years. So many cases of prevent D blowing leads.

Disagree. Rush at least 4, if not 5. Kid is young, inexperienced, get someone in his face and force an error.

Exactly.

Prevent defense prevents you from winning.

Day is an average coach, luckily he was going against Freeman.

I get either playcall to be honest. But they had 8 in coverage and it was like they let Egbuka run a 20 hard hitch. Just absolute shite coverage.

This. When is the last time a 3 man rush please don't hurt us defense didn't actually put the game at risk? We have to realize that these brilliant coaches are ex-athletes who haven't had to do school work since 5th grade.

100%

If he was going against Brian Kelly it would been Tyler Buchner and ND losing 38-3.

Brian Kelly

You do know terrible execution is a thing right?

They are playing with fire if they bring pressure and leave one of those Ohio State WRs in single coverage.

And ND had like one blitz get home all night.

Honestly a 50/50 call in my opinion. They just executed the coverage horribly.

McCord looks exactly like Joe Germaine throwing the ball.

Disagree. 3 man rush is only for last play of a half/game.

Well they had 8 guys back in coverage and it obviously didn’t work.

You cannot give a QB more than a couple of seconds to throw the ball or he will thread the needle.

He doesn’t make that throw to the one yard line if they rush 5 and he has a guy in his face.

McCord got rid of the ball pretty quick. Snap was at 0:15 and he released it at 0:13.

The ND corner playing the Ohio State sideline slot position completely fricked up and tried to bracket Fleming on the sideline. It left Egbuka wide open.

Have you ever seen a rushing DL or LB get his hands up and knock down a pass?
