1. Targeting rule and the giant zone that it two hand touch around the quarterback. Let the player's play damnit.

2. The overreaction by the NFL to the Ray Rice situation. I mean wtf did you think happened. She magically passed out in the elevator. Now, the video makes it worse?

3. The playoff committee/NCAA as a whole.

2. Rankings - similarly, everything has to be ranked. Who's the #1 CB? Which QB's are elite?

this.

Might as well add: MLB's second wild card. Especially when it's only a one-game series. I mean, really?

This also. Every time a team goes 2-0 to start the football season, will (insert team) go undefeated? 99.5% it wont happen.

It's the freedom from religion foundation. Anytime a school or sports team has a cross on their helmets or a coach who says a prayer before the game with the team, they are always first to complain. They always try to get anything like it banned in sports. Recently Arkansas state for having crosses on their helmets.
I said this in the other thread but it seems to have been overlooked, but can you imagine the outrage from Christians if a team put a fish with legs on their helmet?

Yea, the overreaction of everything is by far #1 for me.

2) The sports discussions on social media/social media in general when its sports related
2b)The people who always bring up race when you criticize a black player on social media

3)The liberals trying to get their way in anything they dont agree on when they dont even care about sports

A Louisiana resident hates Goodell, atheists, and ESPN?

Sounds like the typical TD poster, great thread

1. The constant tinkering with the NFL rules. Its like Lucas and Star Wars. Just leave it alone.

2. Sportscenter anchor "Lets see the reactions coming in on twitter to the......"

3. The inevitable bitching and moaning of what team will be left out of the college playoff. Lol at those that think the complaining will stop just because we now have a "playoff"

- Wussification of NFL so that it's all offense.

- Conference realignment/watering down the poor Big Ten with even worse competition in the form of traditional powerhouses Rutgers and Maryland.

- Polyester string ball bashing six hour endurance contests in tennis.

Didn't want to turn this into a religion thread, but I imagine OP would feel differently if it were a Muslim coach leading a Muslim prayer or putting crescent moons on their helmets. State schools are subject to the First Amendment, so promoting religion is unconstitutional.

1. Media coverage of off the field issues that don't involve criminal activity. I understand the media coverage with Ray Rice. I think the media coverage of Johnny Manziel and Michael Sam is way over the top. If they don't commit violence, who gives a shite what they do off the field? I really don't care about what Manziel does in Las Vegas on his own time.

2. The whole "you need rings to make you great" argument that fans and commentators get into. I'm not a big LeBron James fan, but the criticism he took over losing the 2014 Finals was non-sense. He played arguably his best Finals series ever but his teammates let him down. Yet, LeBron's legacy somehow takes a hit because of that loss.

3. The NCAA's double standards when it comes to punishment. Jim Tressel essentially gets blackballed for lying about tattoos, while Roy Williams and the North Carolina basketball program haven't been touched for committing acts that were 150 times worse than Tressel lying to the NCAA. NCAA is garbage.
