I like the circuit. Hard to put together a lap. The ability to consistently put together corners and laps will help with passing.

It’s growing on me, and I believe drivers are starting to find ways to pass. This race is about to eclipse 3 hours. Saturday and Sunday will be much longer.

That was a wild finish
I hate it for the 42 truck. I was rooting hard for him to win
The racing is better than I thought it would be
I’m happy about that

Wishing Reif would’ve won that

Wow
First off, I was deployed on CVN-70 to the gulf Southern Watch. Visited many countries including Australia (glad we kicked their arse today in soccer but that country was great when I was there).
Then practice was a shite show. I figured the race would be bad.
Then Jimmy J really hung in there for a long arse time.
And the racing got better and better. Lots of carnage especially that poor wall in last turn.
And then the overtime happened and it was just awesome with banging and fuel worries and mistakes and just 2 laps of great fun. Damn I feel for Reif he had that race and overthought it.
Trucks are tougher than cars. NOAP cars are tougher than Cup cars, so we’re going from toughest to non toughest. Cup cars will have a lot of broken toe links.
But I was pleasantly surprised how the trucks actually raced. Such a technical course and Reif proved you can’t lose focus for even 1 second. Gonna drain a lot of brains and cause a lot of carnage. But should be fun.
I give it 5 beers out of a 6 pack.

Waking up to see Parker Kligerman and Adam Andretti exchange some words. I wish there was some video to help explain what they were arguing.

Adam comes off as a real asshat there. He’s ten years older than Parker and acted half Parker’s age.

As brittle as the suspensions are on the Cup cars half of them will be in the garage.
Saw some discussion on the caution/stages. Unfortunately, they aren't going away because of the commercials they can run during them. I've never been a fan of cautions counting in the lap count. Very frustrating to get the phantom "debris" caution and then it take them 7 laps to figure out it was a fricking hot dog wrapper.
Riggs and Zane are definitely fun to watch and will move up shortly. I also do not think that Hill will get the permanent 33 ride. He's struggled in that car so far albeit it in impossible circumstances.

Does NASCAR not have video of the Andretti vs Kligerman scuffle on the track?

I think that car will go to gragson

Yes there was some good racing. And for some reason early in the race I couldn’t figure out where the finish line was. There are a lot of cameras.
Just don’t count stage break laps. Count the rest but not stage. They designed them with altering strategies and such yet because the 2nd stage always has way less laps than advertised it changes strategies due to lost laps to restart.
And Jamie/booth is still awful. Harvick helped make it better. But she would say driver x is passing driver y and it was actually driver x was ahead of y and is getting passed. Mikey corrected her a few times.
Had some great views of base and area. Was great hearing the CO in booth and how the SeaBees helped plan/do track over 2 years.
Really curious if NOAP gives us the best race. I don’t think Cup will though. Cars are too brittle to push them.

It was a lot like St Pete, another race I thought was going to be bad and wasn’t
NoAP is usually the better race than Cup is, I don’t expect that to change this week
It’s funny that in enjoying the second series of F1, Indy and NASCAR more than the big boys this year
