This does a good job showing the air effects

I’ve been watching them on delay. It’s a lot of fun and I have no idea who won
Very causal fan I know

And the announcers were so much better back then. I liked DW, he was good in booth

How you watching on delay? I just watch highlights.

Dammit! Tough year for Nascar. Always enjoyed his telecasts. RIP Ned

Saddened to hear about the passing of Ned Jarrett. Great driver and one of the best to ever be in the booth. Always a professional when he was broadcasting.

Twenty, maybe twenty five years ago there was a VHS put out called Stock Car Legends Reunion, or something like that. It had a bunch of the older drivers like Ned, Cale Yarborough, Richard Petty, Junior Johnson, the Allison's, sitting around telling stories.
Ned talked about he was going to one race and had his car on a trailer and pulling it with a pickup truck. He was out on this old country road, no one else around, goes over this big bump as he tops a hill. Doesn't think much about it until he is halfway down the hill and looks out the side window of the truck and there's the race car on the trailer passing him. The bump knocked the trailer off the hitch and just started rolling on its own.

Last night I watched the “Larson vs. the Double” documentary on Amazon Prime. The whole doc chronicled his preparation in ‘23 and ‘24 when he attempted both the Indy 500 and the 600. It was a good documentary showing how Larson dealt with adversity and that some things happen that are out of your control (rain).
Well for some reason, there was a segment included about him dropping the n word on a racing stream in 2020, and showing his apology. I honestly had forgotten about that, but they made it such a huge deal One, that had nothing to do with the double. And two, that was pathetic bowing down to the mob. It’s so stupid that one race can’t say a specific word while the other race constantly uses it and it’s fine.
What about if the roles were reversed? Nothing happens as we saw this week with that one protester in Texas chanting “The only good cracker is a dead cracker.” Could you imagine if a white person said that sentence but replaced a word?

Good race yesterday. Heim made a great move to pass 2 trucks in one corner and held on. I dod not see that pass coming but he went high on prior corner like he did all night and the dove low and got both.
His teammate seemed unhappy because of the last few laps of blocking. Well son, you have a bumper next time use it and you win the race. I will admit Heim over-blocked and I woulda moved him.
So Jamie was not in the booth and it was much much better. Anyone know why? Other assignment or is TV finally hearing the fans and taking action?

I’m out of the country this week so I can’t watch. Hope it’s a good race.

Can you listen to it on the NASCAR app?

That was a terribly rough hit for Bell. Glad he’s okay.
