Race called. Suarez wins.

That’s freaking awesome. KB would’ve been proud

Good for Spire and the #7.
The only time I saw Rowdy win in person was the truck race at Atlanta in 2024 when he ran the #7 for Spire. And then I saw Suarez win that three-wide with Blaney and Rowdy two nights later. So this is cool, even though it was cut short.

Suarez and that entire Spire shop work real hard. Good to see.

Too bad we couldn’t see a singe full race this weekend. And I actually like both chastain and saurez.

1st win for the #7 in cup since Geoff Bodine's final career win in 1996.

Sarcastically impressive day for Katherine Legge. Should now be referred to as the Legge 587.

Hey my wife walked in and was immediately impressed by her car sponsor.

What was it? I didn’t see her car all race.

ELF. My wife (no pics) said that’s a huge cosmetics company. I didn’t know anything about them either.
Last night was SVG’s best oval race yet. It was awesome to see him take the lead on old tires and keep it.
He did have a connection to Kyle before coming to nascar. 2020 they both ran the 24 hours of Daytona for the Lexus program. They ran separate cars, but Shane was always the fastest of the 6-8 drivers they had. Kyle said when Shane was announced Chicago, he knew he’d be good.

Couple of takes from this weekend's races.
The trucks look like hunchback crabs going down the track. It looks worse than the gawdawful COT. Also, what in the blue frick is a "stop clock" to determine the end of a race? The next race was literally 8 hours away. There was just a few laps left NASCAR, do better.
I didn't get to see much of the O'reilly race due to the late finish but it appeared to be an impossible decision for NASCAR due to the fog and said late time slot. They'll get a pass on this one.
The Cup race was actually very entertaining, especially for a Charlotte race which usually turnes into a fuel mileage race. All of the tributes to Kyle were on point. My goodness at the strength shown by Samantha and the family to be at the track just a few days after untold tragedy. God, please lift them up. I hope Kurt is mentally strong enough (he's had his mental health battles) to pick up the torch and continue to mentor Brexton's career.
As for the race, the Toyotas have something figured out the rest of the teams do not. The only team to beat them literally stole their data
.
Not really a Suarez fan but he owes a lot of his career to KB so that was pretty fitting. When they were interviewing Suarez's crew chief about taking two tires I told my wife that Bell and Hamlin were about to eat him alive but to his credit he held them off.
Good to see NASCAR show a little flexibility with the lightning thing. The storm was moving away and no longer a threat so that was the right call. Lets show that is a peek into things to come with O'donnel being flexible.
Kyle being immediately placed in the HOF is the ONLY appropriate move. Also, all other drivers in the most popular vote should recuse themselves. NASCAR's winningest driver also being named most popular is the only right move.
There's a lot of bitching on social media about the race being on Prime and them not paying extra to watch a NASCAR race. Who the frick doesn't have a Prime account in 2026?
As for the broadcast, JR is hard to stomach for me. EVERY little wiggle or brush with the wall is this over dramatic impending doom for half the field. He sounds like a damn teenage girl. Rest of the crew is pretty good. I love Carl being back involved and LaJoie is pretty good too. Props to him for rocking the 70's pron stash.
I'll say this for the Prime broadcast, at least it wasn't 5 laps of greenflag racing with 5 minutes of commercials. FOX is God awful in this regard.

The #7 hadn't won in the Cup Series in 877 races, the longest streak of any full-time number.
Active winless streaks of full-time numbers

I joked a few weeks ago that Nascar wants Bubba to win so bad they helped Toyota and turn a blind eye on things. Nascar always knows advantages and inspects all cars. And does tear downs all season. And word is when they see something legal but advantageous they leak it to other teams. Is it possible they know and aren’t leaking?
It really is strange how all the Toyota teams are doing well not just one team.

You don’t understand or intentionally don’t care. Nascar lost 25% of their viewers last year during Prime. Fans do not want to buy more subs. Fans are tired of all the different subs required for all sports. Fans are boycotting to hopefully in the future put a stop to streamers. I even seen Congress recently mention how upset they are and sports streaming taking away from fans.
If you have it and like it power to you. But don’t lecture fans on why they should get it and think like you. Same for F1, many fans are boycotting Apple.
Its funny as all these subs prices go up the costs end up more than what cable had. At some point it will all come to a head. Sponsors will eventually start cutting payouts with less eyeballs and streamers will lose money and have to stop buying sports.
It won’t happen overnight. I have not watched one F1 race this year nor do I intend to. That sport is done for me. After years of watching. And I missed my 6th Cup race (5 + 1) last night. And its fine. I can easily catch up news online and its ok.
Anyways, I see these lecturing posts trying to dunk on people who made a choice and had to respond. Its not about the actual cost for me and most its the principal of it.
Maybe stop lecturing people who chose a different path than you as if yours is the only one.

I’m sure Congress will figure it out, they do such a good job with everything else they touch
Lots of sarcasm in that
I would rather see all of the races on Prime. It was much better than Fox.
Fox does a good job with Indy- great announcing team- but fails at nascar
