Still waiting on Kansas, Charlotte, Nashville, Michigan, Pocono, Sonoma, Indy, Gateway, Richmond, Watkins Glen, Homestead and whether San Diego happens and/or Chicago street/Chicagoland. Would think some summer dates could depend on how San Diego/Chicago decisions shake out.

Jordan Bianchi
@Jordan_Bianchi

As The Athletic previously reported, North Wilkesboro Speedway will host the 2027 All-Star Race. The race will be part of a tripleheader weekend that will feature an O'Reilly Series race on Saturday and a Truck Series race on Friday.

Interesting note in the Speedway Motorsports press release announcing the All-Star Race shifting back to North Wilkesboro.

I tweeted the below two years ago.

And the industry is just now noticing it.

It’s gonna flip the entire industry on its head, it’s already ripped the culture out

When a technical industry no longer presents challenges to the minds of its workforce, that industry becomes irrelevant.

The “build-a-bear” movement within Nascar no longer attracts talent bc there are no challenges.

This is the beginning of the end of Nascar.

Supercars is going down the Nascar path. Now imagine Nascar giving Toyota Nascar parts and you can see how Nascar can dictate outcomes. Nascar controls most of the cars and issues sealed parts to teams. Who inspects Nascar for their own compliance? Nobody.

Supercars responds to Triple Eight’s incorrect supply claim

Connor O'Brien12 August 2026

SUPERCARS says the undersized engine airflow restrictor which Triple Eight pinned part of Will Brown’s 2026 troubles on was initially supplied for demonstration purposes only.

Triple Eight today announced it had discovered the issue which has “a significant negative impact” and declared it “will be taking up with Supercars why they have supplied us with what is a controlled component out of specification”.

Supercars has now responded via a statement.

“Supercars acknowledges the finding that Car 888 has competed during the 2026 Supercars season with an air restrictor that is one millimetre smaller in size than is prescribed for the Ford Mustang,” the statement begins.

“The component was loaned by Supercars to Triple Eight Race Engineering (T8RE) for demonstration purposes only at the team’s launch in February.

“The air restrictor subsequently remained fitted to Car 888 through the Perth Super 440.

“Neither party identified the discrepancy until it was discovered by T8RE during preparations for next weekend’s event in Ipswich.

“Throughout the Supercars season, routine scrutineering and compliance checks are carried out at random by Supercars’ Technical department, covering a vast range of components and systems.

“As of the Perth event, the air restrictor fitted to Car 888 had not been selected for inspection during those checks.

“Supercars is reviewing the circumstances surrounding this matter and will evaluate opportunities to strengthen its technical and operational procedures moving forward.

“Supercars acknowledges and appreciates T8RE’s identifying and prompt reporting of the matter to Supercars.”

One of the better paint schemes of the old era.

NASCAR dropped some surprising Corey Heim news on Hauler Talk.

Heim can’t win Rookie of the Year this season... and he won’t be allowed to compete for it when he goes full-time in 2027.

He didn't mention it in the interview, but I believe the A-Main for Knoxville pays 15K to start. So, it's worth it for his car owner just to have him qualify for it. 15K is better than a lot of winning payouts for your average WOO or HL show.

I think one of the crew guys has to start and park to collect the money.

Still shedding viewers. Fans are tired of the gifts Nascar gave Toyota. And the clown car

I find that disappointing. Though maybe it’s more difficult to get to Montreal or Mexico City than we realize.

I followed the reports when they went to Mexico and it was a massive logistical nightmare. They went as a convoy with Mexican guides to help them navigate and deal with locals at all stops. Customs was a time consuming event as well. And finding a safe place to stay within reasonable distance from track was hard.

I just think now that they’ve done it, they know what to do. What not to do. It can be done. But maybe not the best move at this time with what’s going on globally.

Its never a good time to race Nascar anywhere except USA. I’ve said a thousand times it hurts the smaller teams. They don’t have a ton of spare parts and makes it virtually impossible for them to take any driving risks. Even big teams had to be careful due to limited parts and cars. Its stupid to go outside USA imo
