Just curious why is Southwest Louisiana specifically Calcasieu Parish so much better at baseball than everywhere else?

Just as SWLA is strong in baseball, it’s equally as weak in Football. Weakest part of the state. The better athletes play baseball.

I think their teams are decent enough, they just don’t have a true powerhouse like other regions. Maybe it will be LCCP.
