I didn’t make it either
Woke up to a Newgarden victory
Good for him
Palou’s lead is down to 49 over Kirkwood

Ericsson had the best car all night until the rain delay. Then he lost lead to Newgarden late in the race and just could never get it back. Bummer. Watched on tape dealt while baseball was in rain delay. His wife was there only 2nd race attended and first was an Indy 500 win. She was interviewed during rain delay and wanted to go back green said he would want to earn it thru racing not rain.

A few oddities and interests I thought:
The first car to run out of fuel (Simpson) is sponsored by the fuel company Sunoco. Clever airtime? Sabatoge by title fuel rival Shell? Either way I chuckled of the optics of the Sunoco car being pushed off due to fuel exhaustion.
Speaking of fuel, Palou, I think, missed fuel window by 1 lap. Dixon and Palou were on same strategy during one of the redflags. Dixon pitted under emergency fueling penalty and Palou stayed out for one more lap when pit opened. At the time I couldnt believe fuel save master Dixon couldnt last 1.25 miles and stay out like Palou.
Palou ran out of fuel on following lap in pit lane and had refire issues. Measuring in google maps, Palou ran out 1000ft short of his stall and coasted.
Dixon goes on to finish 11seconds back including forced full pit again (under caution very next lap) and restart back of pack penalty. Palo finished 2 laps down. I think, Palo team went for it all and missed just barely. 1000ft or lack of, I think, determined this race.
How many drops of fuel are in 1000ft going pit speed?

Really weird not seeing Palou and his team doing everything perfect

Kirkwood and Malukas really had their golden chance to gain on Palou this weekend and didn't capitalize.
