The driver should be in charge of the car not computers. When he pushes the throttle harder the car should always go faster. Just have to hope the manufacturers don’t keep throwing good money after bad money. Gonna be hard for them to admit they wasted billions developing this and throw it away.

Again, what can they realistically do this season or even next? They built the whole car around this 50/50 system. I mean I guess they could turn the thing to 80/20 or something like that, but i'd think the ICE used would be weak and then how would the aero and other junk be impacted. Seems you’d get a much slower car, but I don’t know.

This season probably is what it is, I don’t think they have any magic that can fully save it. Gonna be stuck making course specific minor changes.

If they admit it soon enough there might still be time to save next season.

The wreck for folks like me not watching this year. From all accounts I’m not missing any racing and Apple TV sure picked a bad year to take over.

All I read on social media is how bad these electric cars are and fans tuning out all over the world. And drivers like Max saying he might leave. Best driver in the world wants to race but can’t. F1 has destroyed all the good will they built (at least in America) over the past several years.

Indy is so much fun now in comparison.

I’m just glad Bearman was able to limp away.

The only thing left to salvage this season is to let them throw turtles at each other.

Hypothetical, lets say they admit its a clusterfrick and announce new regs that fit more in line with ICE/Turbo combo.

I know they normally give 4ish years lead time. If they opened up and gave teams all the freedom they needed to adhere, how quickly could they change? 2028 maybe?

So Bergman's car is accelerating and the other car is slowing down bc of battery but neither drive is controlling the speed burst ?

That is crazy

I am going to get a Mario kart shirt and try to get Max to autograph it in Montreal.

Yes, Ollie was deploying battery and the Alpine (don’t know who was driving) was clipping bc his battery was done.

Great race. Three teams on the podium.

That Merc in clean air is a different car. Mclaren seem to have a grasp on their start procedure, would have been nice to have skipped that safety car.

Also the tire wear jeopardy is a joke. Everyone just trying to time and early pit stop and do frick all for 45 laps.

Holy cow that Porsche wreck. There could have been a bunch of dead people from that with a slightly different angle of contact.

Give the guy a break. Yes he’s well educated and doesn’t speak like us, but he’s actually a good dude. Takes time for fans: LINK

Even without the cameras, including one anecdote from someone who met him with his kid in this thread (Austin GP).

How about we both agree to reallocate the hate to Stroll, a boy who talks like a retard despite going to the best prep schools with a golden spoon in his mouth. I don’t think he could even make it in Indy.

Great podium, but it’s not really all that interesting to watch Mercedes trip on their own dick at the start of the race anymore for them to just pass everyone back in the first few laps.
If George wouldn’t have been screwed by the safety car it wouldn’t even had been a good podium.

First two races the beginnings were exciting but I didn’t even slow down unloading the dishwasher or pause it to make coffee this morning.

He was stuck in 2nd place and losing ground right? Ant benefiting greatly from the safety car helped himself but George's struggle existed before the safety car.

Ferrari battle was brief but existed. Slower car passed on pace and better attack plans. Norris v Hamilton was a good battle that we didn't get to see and Leclerc punking George repeatedly was certainly entertaining.

Susuka doesn't do itself any favors being a technical although boring track. And merc tripping on their dick is comical now that we see it is a team problem and not an engine problem. That Piastri start might have been one of the fastest F1 starts I have seen.

We can dislike both

At least George is a talented driver
